I have 50-100 hive depending on my emphasis each year (queen production versus honey production), but I go through lots of Oxalic Acid making the Oxalic Acud/Glycerin Swedish Dishtowel Sponges of the Aluen CAP method, tested, enhanced, and made of note by Randy Oliver’s Scientificbeekeeping.com website. Each 6x7” Swedish Dishtowel Sponge gets 50 grams of Oxalic (by weight) dissolved in 50 grams of Vegetable Glycerin, heated to around 155 degrees F to fully dissolve in the Glycerin - it should be crystal clear like water, not milky or hazing indicating that the Oxaliccis not yet into solution. This is my primary Varroa mite control for most of each bee year!

I'm using this acid for cleaning rust stains off the ground and also to treat my bee hive for verroa mites and it works great for both of these uses! Highly recommend buying this if you're in the market for a premium product!

If you are spending a small fortune on Snocap to get the crust stains off your driveway, this is going to save you a ton of money. Same product, same result. I order a large bag that lasts for at least two years. Mix it into a pump sprayer, and get the same result as the higher priced, brand!

(Photo before/after)Truthfully I was skeptical when I ordered. My hopes were that it clean sidewalks enough to get HOA off my back. I thought if it would eliminate part of rust and I could pressure wash clean enough to pass inspection I would be happy happy camper!! When I sprayed solution on 1st rusty area, the rust stain started disappearing. I couldn’t believe it!! I did pressure wash after using but there wasn’t any rust to try and clean. It was only normal sidewalk dirt that was being cleaned. This truly is a great product - I would encourage friends, family - anyone who has rust on their sidewalk, drive or any other concrete areas with rust stains.Instructions call for 1 cup to warm water - I didn’t use warm water 😟 and probably used a little more than a cup (not on purpose - just too lazy to be exact). The sidewalk I was using this on was approximately 50-60 feet long and I used 3+ cups of rust oxalic acid. I used a sprayer to apply to sidewalk.

I have well water for irrigation only and over time its iron content progressively stains the driveway-walkway more and more orange. I found that 2/3 of a cup per gallon in a pump up garden sprayer will totally eliminate my level of orange and the concrete is its natural light color in 15 minutes. These are my suggestions for use. Clean the concrete of any dirt or mold from its surface. Use eye protection and nitrile gloves and skin protection as this is an acid. 2/3 cup per gallon and stir completely to dissolve. The warmer the water the better to dissolve the crystals. Spray on the concrete when the concrete is cool and NOT overly warm or hot, Do it on a cloudy day or before or after the sun hits it. Spray a section till wet and if you see no liquid on part of the section (the concrete absorbs it) , spray that section till you see that water sheen. I might have to do that 2 or 3 times within 10 minutes. You will start to see the iron begin fading very quickly. In my case 98% of it was completely gone in those 15 minutes. Any remaining can be done with a 2nd light dose. Heavy iron deposits would require a stronger dose to begin with, or increase time with that 2/3 cup per gallon dose. When you think you are done rinse the area completely with clean water. If you let it dry without rinsing you could leave whitish crystals behind. I am not sure if this could damage grass. I see nothing wrong in 4 days. Just use a lot of water in your rinse to dilute it all. You should be very happy with its look after treatment. I liked it so much I ordered another bag of it to add to my remaining crystals.
