Bordering on ridiculously large, it was exactly what my wife wanted for pool lounging. It came folded and it was a bit of a pain to get the creases out, but I'm not sure how else you would ship it. Overall, 👌

I saw this ginormous hat in SATC, and I wanted it immediately. Can you get a reasonable, operate-in-public-27-inch version? Sure, but who wants to look reasonable when you're making a fashion statement while lounging in the sun?Why you might want to get this hat:1. All inclusive resorts where you are pretty sure you will nap in a sun chair any minute or you plan on just chit-chatting and sipping bevvies for hours. Bonus: This is packable if you roll it like they show you! I took out my ancient iron, gave it a little steam, and boom, like new2. Competing in a derby day craziest hat contest (I would glue little ponies running around the brim as a track)3. You're going tubing with friends, and want to look cute while protecting your 38 year old skin from the sun - PS it got soaking wet multiple times, and dried out pretty fastOther stuff I love about it:You can roll one side, there's string for it that you don't notice unless you're looking for it. If you don't use the string, it does unravel a lot. I bought a hat pin for it because I'm finicky about a just-right roll and arch.The guide wire in the brim IMO is just the right strength for giving an arch to peak out from.What I wouldn't use it for: Gardening, staying out of the rain, driving, anything requiring visibility beyond grabbing a bevy, eating nachos, or tipping someone.
