The base is heavy and the unit is quite solid and strong. It did include a plastic piece that I couldn’t figure how it is used and it not explained in any instructions.

I will update my review later after months of use. Weird exposed screw at the top of the rod. It also has an insert for a screw on the back of the phone gripper. they don't show the thread dimensions or what the use is in general.

Super long arm for all your positioning needs. Very stable. Base is super heavy and has a rubber grip surface over the whole bottom so it never tips over and doesn't scratch your desk. Arms are lightweight and stable.

Unfortunately I had a busy month and didn't get to fully test this until today, 1 day after the return period expired. So unfortunately I cannot return it, although I won't be using it further. The quality is pretty low. The base is nice and weighted for stability, but beyond that, meh.The phone clamp is really cheap, and also too small to even hold my phone (Pixel 6 pro). I had to replace the phone holder with another one.The ball bearing joint feels wobbly and insecure. The other connector pieces feel like dry cheap plastic, and I don't think they will last.I picked it up today to move it, after I'd already tightened it, and it slipped in a few places. Not secure. There is also no protective foam or felt on the base, as is standard with these types of stands. Worse still, the upright tube goes all the way THROUGH the base. It sticks out on the bottom, and it's very sharp. I'm not exaggerating - you could cut yourself if you grabbed it wrong, and it can EASILY scratch the surface of your table/desktop/counter.So disappointing.

The HVAYING Overhead Phone and Camera Mount Stand sets up easily. If it doesn't seem right, you should probably take another look at the instruction sheet. It worked for me and I just felt a little stupid. The base is heavy which should prevent tipping the stand over in most cases. The poles and gimbal mount allow you to position your phone many ways.

I’ve tried 4 different kind of these over head mounts, this is by far my favorite. So easy to use and strong.

My mom likes making cooking videos for family and friends so I thought I’d get her something that lets her use both of her hands while she’s doing her little tutorials.I’ve bought plastic 90 degree mounts in the past for tutoring tutorials and one thing I’ve noticed was that the weight of my phone (iPhone 12 pro max) would always lead to the holder tipping or slouching too much. So I thought a metal rig with a heavy base would suffice, and yea I definitely made the right move. The rigidity of this is really good, my mom has an iPhone 14 pro max with a heavy case and this thing holds it at 90 degrees pointing downwards perfectly, no slouch, no tipping, and no frustrations. The adjustments on this are really cool, a few twists here and there will get you the angle you need. If you do buy this, I recommend playing with the adjustments, maybe you’ll discover an angle you never thought about.2 things that I wanted to point out was that 1) Im not so sure if thicker cases like the otter box will fit in the holder that it comes in, I personally have a phone case that’s 2-3mm thicker than the phone itself and it’s kind of a snug fit so thicker cases may make it difficult, however, you can always take your phone out of the case or buy a cheap $1 case dedicated just for this.2) The base is pretty big, it’s not huge by any means but it’s large enough where if you don’t adjust the pole holding you phone out, it will end up in the frame of the camera. This definitely isn’t a serious issue or an issue at all tbh, but more of a caution. To combat this just adjust the pole to extend your phone out further, it took me a bit but eventually I learned to trust the metal and let it do its things. If you’re coming from a plastic rig like I did, this will shock you.Overall, great product and great build quality.
