Purchased to block the sun from shining in my child's face. It works really well and the magnets are strong enough that it takes a bit of force to pull off.

I am so glad I bought these! These are absolutely necessary during the summer in Arizona! They are so easy to use. You just clip the magnets (that are in the cloth to the inside of your side window in your vehicle and the hot sun is shielded from your body. You can drive with them on too but it is more difficult to see through the mesh. I mostly use them when I’m parked out in the sun in addition to my separate windshield sun blocker. It does make a difference in the heat inside the car. Now my kids want some too. I might even buy them for some friends for gifts!

The magnet was not strong enough to hold on the windows. I have a 2017 Chevy Trax with metals frames by the windows. My partner and I was just opening the door both sides one very windy day and it flew away. The suction piece didn't hold it very well.

So easy to use. Magnets stick and work very well. I tested a couple of small kitchen magnets around the inside of my car door to make sure magnets would stick easily. Worked in my Telluride great! I highly recommend due to the many magnets and how easily it sticks and is to put on.

Ok, so I just received these in the mail. So far, I've only used one side, but I LOVE that it fits my whole window, I can see through it for driving and it's SO easy to slide open (like a curtain) if needed. The magnets stick to the top (I hung it with the door closed when parked) the bottom just hangs down the window over the door, I'm okay with this. I am able to open my window (perhaps not all the way because I don't know if it will fly away), I am choosing not to use the suction cups as of now. Every other window shade I've had, had suction cups, they did not cover the whole window, and the suction cups would often come off the window. I look forward to using this on the passenger side when my hubby is driving. Excited!!

It's a good purchase to block the sun but the outside vision won't be clear when using mirrors and watching the traffic when taking turns. Also with open windows, not a great air circulator. Probably needs to get used to these. Overall great idea and works for the purpose.

These shades work. The magnets hold well and allow the shade to hang on the door frame rather the window itself. This solves three problems that I had using other products:1. First I tried the screens that used static cling. These worked ok but occasionally out of habit I would lower the window forgetting about the shade and it would get crumpled. Our windows are automatic. So sometimes the plastic layer that clings would get torn before I could raise the window.2. Next I tried some that hung over the top of the window. This would allow the window to be lowered without damaging the shade. The problem with this solution is that the plastic clips that hung over the window were large enough that they caused the auto feature of the window to detect them as an obstruction which resulted in the window being automatically lowered (a safety feature). In other words the window wouldn't close!3. Next I tried the suction cup solution. The suction cups were a little finicky to install and sometimes fell off. Plus this solution does not allow you to open the window without taking the shade off then back on.As for the size, these shades are large enough to work well in both our Honda Accord and Honda CR-V.The only complaint I have so far (and the reason it gets 4 rather than 5 stars) is that there are no magnets on the bottom of the shade. If you do open the window, there is a good chance that the bottom of the shade will get sucked out the window (the shade is made of lightweight fabric). If you are going fast enough I imagine the magnets would not be strong enough to keep the shade from detaching and blowing out the window (although I have not tested this). It does have suction cups you can use to fasten the bottom of the shade to the window which would solve the problem. However, this does not allow you to open the window as mentioned above. I suspect they didn't put magnets at the base because there isn't bare metal at the base of the door frame to which the magnets could adhere. Although they could solve this with an adhesive backed piece of Velcro. That aside, go with the magnets!
