I really liked that it was already stained, it looks sharp. It's sturdy enough for occasional use, but would not want it to be an everyday, everyweight bridge.

As expected. Others complained about the stain coming off on their hands - we didn't have that problem. Took a couple of hours to assemble even with a friend's help. We did it on a level garage floor. Read the directions carefully - the bolts go in a specific way if you want the nice end (bolt head) facing outward. Do yourself a huge favor and use an electric drill with a Phillips screwdriver bit. There are approximately 200 wood screws in the entire assembly. We used a level to get the posts perfectly perpendicular before installing the hand rails (and were glad we did). Make sure the curved supports underneath are square and even before starting to install the decking. We were slightly off and the pre-drilled decking board holes started to drift a bit away from the supports. We first installed the 3 short deck boards by the upright posts to get a framework. After assembly, it took two of us to position it in the garden - it's too heavy and awkward for one person to move. My previous bridge rotted out because it sat directly on the ground. So we positioned this one with the bottoms of the posts on partially buried bricks to keep it off the wet ground. Looks great!

It is much better than I thought! It took a bit of time to put it together but it looks so nice and is sturdy. The price was reasonable too!

But if you are trying to use it in the garden as an actual bridge, I cannot recommend. While it's cute when put together, the frailty of this item will win in the end. Our bridge has been put together and in the garden for 2 weeks now. The wood is already splitting on multiple pieces, and holes did not line up evenly on all the slats, and when standing on the bridge it wobbles significantly. And yes, I have put together other buy and build bridges and also work in the construction industry - it is not a user issue. The quality just isn't there. Not to mention once the handrails are on this bridge is very narrow. Value for money is a hard question here though, because it was one of the least expensive options available at the length. And when put together, from afar is super cute (just don't look at it up close or you start to notice how things really don't line up). But again, if you plan on using this on a path walked regularly, I wouldn't. I don't believe it will hold up, and frankly, does not feel solid or safe for actually traversing as a bridge.

I bought the bridge as a gift for my mother. She loves it.What can you expect when you order this bridge?Looks:5 Stars out of a possible 5You won't find a better looking bridge in this price range. It looked so good after assembly, I was tempted to leave it plain (without paint). The bridge looked just like the pictures on Amazon.Assembly:4.8 stars out of 5Very, very easy to assemble with basic hand-tools. Only took a few hours.A few screws didn't quite line up... but the problem was a very simple fix.If you have basic woodworking skills (meaning you can assemble IKEA furniture), you'll find the bridge very, very easy to put together. Can you use a screwdriver, a hammer, and a wrench? If so, you'll be fine.Stability:4 Stars out of 5:About as expected. Two full-grown men can walk across the bridge at the same time without a problem. You won't have any trouble with basic use.I worried about the bridge tipping over when I ordered it. It only weighs 70 pounds, after all. But the bridge is very bottom-heavy and holds up well in strong winds. The local kids walk across the bridge every day without any problems.Just don't do something stupid like jumping jacks or wrestling on your bridge and you'll be fine.Shipping Speed:100 Stars out of 5.You read that right. The bridge ships straight from the manufacturer. They deserve 100 stars... out of a possible 5... for getting the bridge here less than 48 hours after I ordered it.The bridge came from Georgia to the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA in a flash! The Value You Get for Your Money:5 Stars out of 5.You won't find a better bridge in this price range. At least not one so big. Most of the bridges you'll find in the same price range are a bit smaller or don't look nearly as cool.

Product arrived earlier than anticipated in good packaging that protected the contents well. We pre-trimmed the posts since we didn’t want them so tall and blocking the view. If you do the same, I recommend reserving the trimmed pieces to use as templates to make new bolt holes in the remaining post wood. Before assembly, we also treated the wood with stain and sealant (2 in 1) to protect and extend the life of the bridge. For the stain to go on nicely, we did have to pre-sand everything with 120 grit sandpaper. It assembled pretty simply with the rudimentary, yet sufficient, instructions, but took a bit of time and only needed a few extra hands near the end to get everything aligned. We used waterproof wood glue to help reinforce it , even though it seemed sturdy, to help ensure we could functionally use it daily for years to come. Very happy with how it turned out and would recommend it to anyone looking for something similar. Peace.
