- #169 in Computer Networking Wireless Access Points

Bought a pair for remote control of two telescope mounts during the eclipse; this wireless bridge got it done. While you do require relative LOS, at closer distances significant throughput (Mind you, this is only 100Mbit optimistically, closer to 70).The kit comes relatively complete, and while the documentation is definitely lacking, you should be able to get it figured out for your use case fairly fast.

Easy setup, use it for enternet in another building 300' away. Great speeds,

Pretty much just put the two in the modes they need to be in andthey work.... You will need a "point of access", "Router" unless you go directly toa device. Point to point works great !!! Really easy. The hard part is the "Router"...That's just a matter of knowing what password they are looking for to connect. So even that no biggie.

I plugged everything in and it just worked. The documentation is a little inconsistent and not the clearest. Just switch one unit to M, the other to S.UPDATE: I had previously suggested replacing the PoE injectors with gigabit ones to get higher speeds - the bridge units themselves advertise up to 300Mbps. I replaced them for unrelated reasons, and my switch still reports only a 100Mbps link. So that effectively caps the bridge’s bandwidth. Not a problem for me and everything works great up to that capacity, but if you want more speed you’ll have to pay for it.

Konfiguration ist etwa knifflig, aber dann hält die Verbindung sehr stabil im Freien.

I've been using them now for about 2 or 3 months and have been Flawless since the day I set them up.

I have set up many routers and other point to point devices; this has to be the easiest! Set the one on your network to M (Master) and the other to S (Slave) point one at the other and it works, no more headaches trying to set up the domain, IP addresses etc. The slave end (remote end) will have your cameras or other network devices that you want connected to your main router. I have 3 IP cameras and a PoE switch on the remote end. I connected an old laptop to the network with the cameras operating and get between 55Mbs to 75 Mbs. We had rain and freezing temperatures and it worked flawless.

The buried network cables to my detached garage were damaged, so I bought a pair of these to get me by until the cables can be re-run. I was expecting to encounter issues or glitches at this price point, but they've actually been working perfectly.Setup was super easy, although I did elect to log into the web UI and set my own password for the WiFi AP, which was also easy.I was only able to get 3/4 (like maybe -68dB) signal with the positions I chose to install them, but that isn't surprising as there were a few obstacles in the way, one side is not mounted perfectly vertical, and this is only the 2.4G model. Still, I'm getting very reasonable speeds (roughly 80mbps), so I'm not going to complain. They've been running reliably for a couple weeks so far.

Used this system to make a homemade long range target camera system. Plugged them in and they were working in seconds. Have tested it to 200m so far without any issue. Just make sure they are aimed pretty well without obstruction.

Loved it.. worked great. Put master on the main building and set other to slave... with a clear line of site, it worked right away!
