How much space does an outdoor tug-of-war toy need?
We recommend using it on a circular piece of grass larger than 5 yards in diameter. We also recommend using it on firm grass and not on areas that are too dry, too wet or too sandy.
Stake It Vertically
Please be careful not to split the ends of the U-shaped stake when we fasten the toy on the grass by the hammer. Otherwise the stake will deform and affect next use.
Stay Away From The Range
People should stay away from the activity range of this dog tug-of-war toy when the dog is playing with it to avoid being injured by the rope or metal pole when the dog lets go.

This toy looks perfectly boring to me but it has great appeal with our 100 pound black lab. He grabs the end of the rope and tugs like there is no tomorrow. I've seen him go at it for 10 minutes or longer and come in the house out of breath. The mechanism for fixing it in the ground is good. There are six heavy metal hoops which pound into the soil and hold it tight. They work loose after a good play session but it is easy to step of any protruding ones and get them back in the ground. I know my dog plays with it even when I'm not around to get him started because I will occasionally find the hoops on one side have pulled out of the ground an inch or so. Any toy that is going to interest and excercize my dog without me having to initiate it it or work up a sweat myself is a good one in my book.

My dog loves this. It is durable enough for my 105lb golden. So far it has kept his attention and given me some peace. Great product.

This product says for large to extra large dogs. As you can see in the pictures not a big dog toy. Not durable enough for larger dogs at all.

We have a very feisty fur baby who absolutely loves this toy. She took to this right away and it's fun to watch her play with it. She has really sharp teeth but is only about 25-30lbs. I can see that this may be a bit weak for a giant dog.
