We bought this for our friend’s son for Christmas. He loves books, and has wanted to start a little library of his own, and he was so excited! This is easy to assemble, and nice and sturdy. It’s also easy to personalize by painting it whatever colors you want. Great product.

Want to get a little library in front of your house quickly? This'll do the job. It's pretty small, but with everything precut and predrilled, you can put it together in a matter of a few minutes. There's even a crappy little screwdriver included, so you can skip a trip to your toolbox. The hardware isn't spectacular, and the wood is engineered, but the roof is surprisignly decent, and it'll get the job done!

This is a nice little book box. You have to assemble it yourself. Once it is assembled you can paint it in any creative way you want. You could think outside of the box on what to use this for. I am considering using it in my kitchen to put snacks in that I want the pets to stay out of.

It's slowly becoming a lost art. Everywhere and everyone is addicted to the small screen day and night. Just about the only time we don't have a cellphone with us is when we're showering, but I'm sure some still drag it in to the shower stall. The little neighborhood library is so much more. I have so many old books from grade school up to university and rather than just donating them to the local Goodwill, I wanted to share them with casual passerby folks in the area to spread a little literature and fun. As it is, neighbors have thanked us and met new folks around the block as well.Spread some love and joy of reading. For the cost, you can't measure the genuine appreciation and gratitude of a child and strangers with a gift out of this little library.

This review is for the Outdoor Library Outdoor Book Box Storage Small Wooden Cabinet Little Literature Box for Neighborhoods Community and Schools Sharing Books, Flyers, Newspapers, Food and Art (A).OMG! I've wanted one of these for awhile now! So happy I was able to get this! I love it! I got the style A with the simple single angle sloped roof. This is just so cute and very good quality! I love it's made of quality wood with the 1 piece metal roof!So of course this is assembly required, but it's not difficult as the directions are clear. If you have kids enlist their help as a fun family project! Now a days anytime a child can be encouraged to read I'm excited about it! Reading opens up the world to kids, it's THE ticket to excelling in life!I've paid for books before for children when I was in the thrift store (with their parents consent) if they had 2 books and their parents said they had to choose just one. The poor kid just couldn't decide which one! LOL.I'm handicapped and can't get out as much like I used to so can't do as much charity wise anymore. This is a simple way for me to still be able to contribute something in our local neighborhood/ community! Hopefully we'll quickly outgrow this little box and need another!I'll give this a good coating of spray sealer before putting it outside for added protection and I'll have it placed at the corner of the house out front under the roof overhang, so that will help protect it some from rain too.If you're like me and can't dig a post hole to set a post for mounting this I would suggest getting some of the metal fence post support/mender brakets that drive into the ground with a hammer, then you screw them to the post to secure it. Or get a half whiskey barrel or whatever big planter (can be fake plastic), fill it with cement, set the post or support brackets into the it....Regular price $59.95 per the listing, it's on sale at $49.95 is a good price. I browsed other listings looking for same size/similar style and mthis was the best rpice I saw! Many were way higher priced! But never hurts to watch for a better sale/coupon, browse listings... I'm hoping for many years of happy use!As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

I have had some issues with an injury that limits my mobility for a while. That means when the package delivery people don't feel like putting packages in bags in the rain so my packages often arrived soaked. Being unable to walk and pick them up like I usually do is an extra burden. I wanted a box for the smaller items at least when the winter hits so that in the wind, snow, or rain, they would at least be protected.HOW THIS COMESI have to say that this is packaged absolutely beautifully. Whoever is in charge of this product went WAY out of their way to make sure everything is clearly marked, pieces are protected and packed well, and that the box is thick and sturdy to protect the contents further.INSTRUCTIONSThe instructions are very well laid out. They took extra time to do the instructions just right so they are clear and easy to understand.TOOLSThe screw driver this comes with is a step above the rest. It has an expanded grip and is stronger than normal.ASSEMBLYThere are some small issues with assembly. Some of the holes are slightly off. That means that you have to mess with it to make sure that all of the pieces fit right. Some of the holes are too close to an edge to allow for re-drilling. It works, but as a result of moving the pieces and getting then to sit right, the door is off and the lock won't grip.CAN THE CLOSURE BE MOVED?There are ways to adjust the magnet and metal plate. It is not too hard to do, but has to be done or the door won't stay closed. I will probably put an additional closure on this as I don't feel this one is strong enough to withstand tough weather.PLEXIGLASSAnother issue with this is the plexiglass. It has both sides covered with a sticker protector that you have to cut around the edges and then peel off. That sounds easy except for the fact that there is some sort of coating on the paper. It flakes off all over the place and makes a terrible mess. I was working outside when I made this, thankfully. If you are doing this inside, make sure to set down a large drop cloth first. You will need it. The coating has to be removed with a damp cloth and takes quite awhile to get off. I have some photos of it posted to see.QUALITYThis is a great little box. I am hoping that it will withstand the winter weather on our deck. There are some small spots where I can see snow blowing through but it will be minimal. For what it is, this is pretty good quality and I am pleasantly surprised. The holes can be filled and I may put in an additional weather strip by the closure somehow.THE BOTTOM LINEThis has to be mounted, but once it is assembled, be prepared to tweak it a bit. Otherwise this is a fantastic kit.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I am only taking a star off for the tweaking that has to be done to make this shut right and because some of the holes were not lined up properly. It still is not that big of a deal though and is doable. I still like this alot. When I add a second closure I hope it will stay shut better than now even after I adjust the magnet which does not line up as marked at all. It is not possible to move the holes as it will ruin the wood and not allow me to grip into the wood well enough. In other words too close to move the holes.
