This small dish is perfect for our cat. The sides aren't high, so he doesn't get the whisker disturbance that many cats get (from eating out of deep bowls), and it easily fits one can of wet cat food!

I have a number of Durapet stainless steel pet bowls from huge to small and these did not disappoint. I purchased five for my cats and they seem perfect for them. Large enough surface area but shallow to prevent whisker fatigue. Excellent non-skid bottom. Easy to clean. I always hand wash the pet bowls so thst the non-skid bottoms hold up indefinitely. Very glad I took the leap to buy these. Worth the $.

Perfect shape, shallow, and wide. Exactly what I was looking for to put my kittens food in. The non-skid bottom was great for not sliding around when she is trying to eat.

Described as heavy stainless steel bowl 12ounzIts marked inside the bowl as 1 cup (about 8 ounz), It is very ligt weight, clocking in at 60 grams. The stainless steel part not much steel as a strong noedyne magnet barely can get a hold on it.Was sold and listed as 3 pack for about 20USD, only one was sent, when questioned, was refered to it was a faulty listing, offered 50% back (one bowl cost about 7 USD from the seller). In my view, complete dud. This will be returned.

My cat is a little bundle of neurosis, and I did not understand until recently how her feeding dish affected her. As a predator, cats want to be very aware of their surroundings so they don't end up as food. I used a deeper stainless steel bowl for her feeding, and she required I stand near her while she eats. The reason for this behavior centered on the fact that with her face in a bowl, she could not see what's around her. I switched out for these bowls, and she is already beginning to eat on her own with needing me standing nearby. There appear to be very well made. The rubber bottoms stop the dish from sliding across the floor. They clean up in a jiff. The depth is enough to easily hold 1/2 cup of dry food or 6 oz of wet food. I recommend these dishes.

Smaller than anticipated. It would be excellent if you have a kitten or adolescent cat. For an adult, this is honestly pretty small, and if it were about 2" larger diameter that would be more appropriate. It's not mislabeled, but rather I held out my hands to its anticipated size and thought "it'll work" and... while it does, it's just smaller than my cat wants it to be.In terms of its physical properties, great bowl. It's sturdy, appears to be as described in terms of being stainless steel, holds up to handwashing just fine, does not slip on a counter (big plus there), and does not get overturned by my adult cat who is simply interested in getting every last bit of food I put out for him. It's lightweight and fairly thin-walled, which for this purpose generally is just fine. I would not put water in it due to capacity and the possibility of being knocked around.

We have two antique cats, one over 15 years old; the other, over 20. On the recommendation of their vet, we switched to wet food. I know, I know...but we figured, they have lived far longer than any of their littermates, and that alone is worthy of a treat. One of the kitties is prone to plastic-induced acne, so I wanted metal bowls. I also didn't want them to feel crowded when they put their heads down (those pesky whiskers!). And I did not want a "dog dish", some cavernous bowl more suitable for a nap than a meal.I played Goldilocks while researching: 8oz. seemed too tiny: 12 oz. was not quite there; I settled on the 16 oz., and it is just right. The 4.8 oz. bowl is appealing to the eye. Shiny stainless-steel, with a thick rubber (silicone?) band around the bottom for slip resistance. Two labels adorn the dish, one around the side and one on the bottom, both of which peel off with no remaining residue. Kudos to Durapet for alleviating this small but oh-so aggravating feature of so many other products. The bowl measures 6 3/8" across the top, and 5 1/2" across the bottom; there is ample room for a bewhiskered face to nosh. The gentle sloped sides are 1 1/8" high, to ensure that what goes into the bowl, stays in the bowl, until it is devoured. The label around the bowl lists company name, address (Fairfield, OH), phone number, web address, stock exchange symbol along with the bowl's characteristics:• Stainless steel• High quality - heavy duty• Dishwasher safe• Lifetime guarantee• No skidding - no noiseAn arrow points to the "bonded rubber ring", and then states the stainless steel is from India (for those who care about such nonsense). Our cats are thrilled with their new diet, and only one thing bothers me: the inside bottom of the bowl is a mirror, so as kitty approaches her food, she sees another cat approach her food. I think it's weird, but that's just me. If the surface of the bowl were matte, the food would stay put better, and old pussycat eyes could see "into the corners".These bowls may be dishwasher safe, but I wash them after each meal, unlike our own plates and saucers which wait patiently in the hotbox. Consequently, I will never moan about the rubber ring disintegrating, or the bowl "rusting" (really? what must one do for that to occur?). I am completely satisfied with the Durapet 16 oz. bowls, and I would shake the hand of the metallurgist who produced the steel for them. Heck, I'd even by him a burg…oh, wait, that's a bad idea ;-)
