This is my second otter box. After 2 years of daily wear and tear the old one lost the cover for the charging port and just looked a little sad - it was still protecting my phone perfectly though. So after two years of countless drops, keeping my phone safe, it was time to get a fresh one.The new color looks great. The install is easy, it fits snug around my phone and lays comfortably in my hands. It might seem a bit thick at first, but it’s easy to get used to and definitely worth it for how well it’s protecting my phone.

I’ve had numerous Defender Otterbox cases through the years. This one has the same high level of protection even tough it is made a little differently. They used to be made in Mexico, but I’m sad to see that they are made in China now. I hate to see companies give business to China when they could still be supporting our neighboring country.June 29 update: This cover is annoying because of the loose rubber covering. It gets stretched out very easily if you use it without the holster. Using the holster is not always convenient. The corners tend to stretch out and I’m not sure it would stay on of dropped. The back of the rubber cover also poofs out which I don’t like. I would rate this case 2 stars now after using it a week. It’s a shame that OtterBox has diminished in quality since I purchased my last defender cover 4 years ago. I will not be buying another Otterbox case. I’ve discovered Rhino Shield cases. They will be my go to phone case company now. The materials are much better quality and they are made in Taiwan which is a democratic country with higher standards for manufacturing among other things.
