First let me say I was very happy it arrived 2 days early. The tool was as described and worked very well removing my transmission lines on a 2008 Ford F53 Chassis. I Would recommend this tool to anyone looking or needing to remove their transmission lines.

I am a professional mechanic. I have purchased a few Snap-On tools to undo the transmission line on these Ford F series trucks. None of them work, not without a ton of messing around. I had my doubts on this set. After getting this tool, within 20 seconds the lines are disconnected! These are skinny enough to get to the place it needs to unhook, but sturdy enough not to break the 2nd time you use them. Have done 50+ transmission flushes and the tool is still in great shape.

Worked for its purpose but should be less than 5 bucks, not $18+. The cost didnt leave me with a good feeling, but it got a stubborn fitting off, so it worked.

I used the OTC 6593 Transmission Disconnect 3/8 (the smaller plastic tool) on a 2006 Ford F-150 XL 4 X 4 with the Triton V8 5.4 Liter Engine. There are two transmission lines that enter into the radiator. One on the top driver's side and one on the bottom driver's side. I slipped the tool around the 3/8" tubing on the upper line and within about 30 seconds after completly pushing it in as I turned it, I was able to pull the line out of the radiator. The bottom one took me about 45 minutes though. Try as I might, I could not get it to release. I pulled the tool out and sprayed some Liquid Wrench in around the tubing and then tried again. Still not luck. I continued to work on it and finally started to back the plastic out and then push it in when I heard an audible click. Finally I was able to pull the line out of the radiator. With everything disconnect I lifted the radiator out without removing the fan shroud. I could not have done the job with out the use of this tool! Thank you Ford for creating a difficult job for me!

Does NOT work on 2008 Ford Explorer transmission cooling lines. The tool goes in and snaps on but does nothing to get the fittings off. We ended up having to cut the fittings off with an electric saw. These are very flimsy plastic and are not as sturdy looking as the picture shows. Save yourself hours of torture and find a tool made of metal and specifically for 2008 Ford Explorer.

It worked for disconnecting the tranny lines at the rad on my Expedition, the fitting looks like you could use a fuel line disconnect tool but they're too thick to fit. Being plastic I wouldn't expect them to stand up to everyday use but then how often do you need to remove the tranny lines, mine were leaking from being rusted and the vehicle is seven years old, I don't plan on having it another seven years to do it again. I bought the metal version from Lisle (#39660) at the same time and these showed up first so I used them.
