I really liked the Oster line and this comb is nice for the tangles and first comb through before a brush is used. It is plastic so it does not always have the strength to really pull through tough knots in the mane/tail as a metal or stiff plastic one does. It is more gentle to use and I have not had any teeth break on any of these combs I have owned. The handle is comfortable for the person verses the other comb options mentioned. Easy to clean and remove hair from. Easy to rinse product from. With care it will last several years.

I like this comb for my Horse's mane. It is a little "bendable" for the tail but great for the mane.

This is my wife's favorite. She's been a horseman for decades and will only use this comb. Has a good grip, strong tines, and is highly durable. It's a good value and highly recommended.

I don't know why I bought this. I was in the process of completing my dream since I was a little girl and shopping for my first horse and got carried away. I really don't think I need a comb. A brush works much better. My horse's mane isn't terribly tangly or thick and even though I section it and start at the bottom, I just feel like this comb is flimsy and I will probably never really use it. I think if I ever do buy another comb I'll go for a thick metal one but on reality I'll probably just just the oyster main and tail brush. Glad I only spent a few bucks on this.

I have the mane/tail brush but wanted to also use a comb on my horse's tail. This comb is built strong and has a secure grip handle. I have several grooming items by Oster, my favorite brand for grooming.
