As stated in the title, the product will work at least once, but if I were planning to repeatedly use it, this is not the product I would buy. There are no places to hang the hoses when not in use, the rubber gaskets in the hoses split as soon as you connect them and they leak (I had to replace them after 1 use), and the only way to use the carrying case is to completely disassemble the entire product to get it back into the case. Had I looked closer at the case before buying, I would have bought a higher quality set of gauges without the case. But the gauges themselves do work, and the product will work at least once…

For the price these are great units. I work in HVAC and have yellow jacket manifold for residential AC. This set has the automotive adaptors, a case and everything. Used to replace compressor in my First Escape. Great buy for the money.

I am impressed by the quality of this set, especially for the price. As a retired mechanic/technician of 45 years of experience I've worked with many manifold sets, from cheap to very expensive as well as automatic recovery/recharging stations. This set is as good as any for the DIYer. It has everything needed for the weekend warrior to properly charge a R134a system or even an old R12 system (except for a clamp-on can tap). I highly recommend anyone servicing their own unit to use a full set instead of those low-side only quick charge systems because if you cannot monitor both sides of the system, you can set yourself up for big problems. This set will allow you to properly charge and diagnose problems you may have in the system. I highly recommend it for both quality and price.

Have used multiple times; quality is plenty good enough for occasional users like me. Cars lose typically lose 20-40% of their refrigerant every every 3-5 years; this kit has been great to see how low the high and low side pressures have gone. Put together with a temperature/pressure chart for R134, lets you top up the car with refrigerant in the driveway for next to nothing.A can of r134a at walmart is about $10, resealable if you don't use it all and one can might top off 2-3 cars depending on how much refrigerant has leaked out. Paid for itself on the first use; a single "evac and recharge" service runs over $150 around here. Two thumbs up

This set is a solid choice for basic AC maintenance and diagnostics. The gauges feel durable, and the hoses have a good length, making them convenient for reaching tight spots. It’s a versatile kit that works with multiple refrigerants like R134a, R12, and R502, which adds to its usability. However, there are some quirks. The instructions could be clearer for first-time users, so expect to watch some videos or do a bit of research if you’re new to AC work. The couplers can be a bit stiff, especially on initial use, but they do create a reliable seal.Overall, this kit is well-suited for beginners and occasional DIYers. It’s functional, cost-effective, and a good starting point for tackling AC systems at home. Just be prepared for a slight learning curve if you’re unfamiliar with manifold gauge sets.

Was easy enough for a beginner to figure out and use. Did require me to YouTube how to use gauges because there were not instructions in the packaging. Granted after watching videos it is probably something most would need a little training on instead of a users guide in the package. Worked great, easy to use and store!

These gauges work well and are complete. I have used them twice and they have performed well. They are a good item at a fair price.

This gauge set has everything you need for servicing an auto AC system. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the gauges, because I don't have a way to do so, but it seems to work just fine. The valves and lines all seem to be pretty high-quality, and it comes with multiple refrigerant can taps. The only little quibble that I have is that the valve body doesn't have a place to snap on the quick connect fittings when storing the gauges. You have to take them off and screw the hose ends on the back. But like I said, tiny little quibble. These work great!

First and foremost I, just like everyone else buying this tool, am a weekend warrior shade tree mechanic. My to go place is the local HF, however they didn't have a manifold gauge in stock neither in Tampa nor in Miami due to hurricane Michael. This particular gauge is exact same model as the cheaper version sold by Orion but comes with a can tap (I already had one so didn't care) and most importantly with couplers that can be shut close. 1/2 ACME adapter might become useful if I need to recharge my home A/C.As opposed to the HF gauge this one is missing a bleed valve for the yellow line which I overcame by unscrewing loose the gauge side of the yellow hose letting the air out. Would be nice of the manufacturer to add one.As far as the dreaded "stuck high pressure coupler" problem. I tend to believe this is simply to not understanding the basic concept of needing to shut the engine off and let some pressure out of the high pressure line hose (red) before attempting to remove the coupler.I did have a problem with the LP coupler which turned out to be a user error. In order to put it on I had to shut the valve close and then it went all the way in no problem.I purchased my CLS in June 2017. Been extremely happy with it, got rid of the airmatic suspension which made me even happier. Then in July 2018 the A/C started blowing hot air on the right. Read multiple forums which lead me to believe the problem lied in the heat core exchange valve (even though in that case the left vents would be blowing hot air). My launch icarscan scanner showed no problems. Before going through the painful heat core valve replacement process I decided to give it a try and add 3 OZ of freon. Which solved the problem immediately.Fast forward three months and the A/C stopped working again.Bought an FJC 4910 A/C UV dye, added it with a 5cc syringe inside the yellow hose, put 5 OZ of R134a with NO stop leak until the low line pressure reached 35psi and the A/C is working again. That's how I did it (I am no mechanic so might be wrong):1. turn off the engine, close the couplers', HP and LP valves.2. Connect HP and LP couplers. Should go in very easily.3. Start the engine, turn on the a/c.4.open the couplers' valves and the blue (LP) valve. Leave the red one closed.5.close the can valve so it punctures its seal. open the valve. Let some air out from the yellow hose by loosening it up on the gauge side until you see gas bubbles in the window.6. when the LP line pressure reaches 25-35psi (might vary a bit) close the couplers then the blue valve and can valve.7.shut off the engine and remove the couplers. might need to open the red valve to let some pressure out.P.S. I will update the review when the A/C UV dye shows where exactly the freon is leaking. Hopefully, it is just a seal and not the compressor. I have high hopes that the gauge will be able to hold -30psi vacuum. If not then it will be shipped back.
