I wish I had this years ago. While it is big and a bit cumbersome, it folds up to a good size, doesnt budge when my 80lb shepherd uses it, and the rubber traction is unmatched and exactly what one needs for peace of mind. If they made it a tad wider, I would buy a second, but still wide enough for a large dog gait as long as you guide them up. Worth it for build quality, stability, and traction 100%.

Nice ramp. Heavy Duty plastic and handy for transport since it folds in half. No way that it will support 160 lbs though as it starts bending/sagging sags at about 60lbs.

Excellent produit. La qualité des matériaux et des charnières est au rdv. La contrepartie est un poids un peu élevé pour la manipulation. La rampe trouve facilement sa place dans le coffre d'un Nissan X-TRAIL au dos des places arrières avec maintien par un sandow.Mon chien n'a eu aucune appréhension à l'emprunter.Je recommande vivement ce produit.

This ramp is incredibly sturdy and stable. It will hold up for many years to come and won't twist or bend at all when deployed to your vehicle entrance or any other environment where your dog may need to climb up to a higher level. This ramp can reduce or eliminate those difficulties, and can even help to prevent the pain that especially plagues older dogs with arthritis or other mobility issues, when they try to jump or climb. It is long enough to really be effective in lowering the angle of the grade for your dog, so he or she can more easily climb up to the height of the entrance to your car, van or truck. Shorter ramps can't do this. Sturdiness, stability and length require this ramp to be fairly heavy to load and unload, although an average adult man or woman should certainly be able to handle it without issue. The ramp's surface is just about perfect - a truly rubbery (maybe real rubber; it feels like it) surface which has small ridges built into it, to make great traction possible for your dog.My family just returned from a 1400 mile journey to another state with our 12.5 year old, 90 pound Giant Schnoodle, who suffers from arthritis and other joint issues, such that he even occasionally collapses because his legs won't support him. He walked up the ramp to the back of our minivan without issue, and the training to make him comfortable to climb up the ramp was easy . The ramp company includes material to help with the training. As you might guess, I think this is a great product, and I highly recommend it.

This is great for my pup who only has three legs. She can get in th SUV easy. Note that it's too short for the pick up truck box, the angle of the ramp is too steep for a truck, pups have a hard time. Even my 4 legged one had trouble in the truck box.Other thing is, be careful for your fingers!! I only squeezed my finger in it once before I learned how to properly handle it, but that once was painful and my nail turned purple. You get the hang of it and it doesn't happen again once you figure it out. They actually have it pretty well built to keep your fingers safe.

I have a big and tall golden retriever and I bought a ramp when he was young. He refused to use it.Now that he is 12 and also 90 pounds, it was impossible for him to jump down the back anymore. I have read reviews of that ramp and there were so many people that said it was a great ramp that I decided to buy it. Let me tell you, this is the best purchase I have made in a long time. Even if the ramp wasn't cheap, it is worth it.Pros:1- I love the fact that this is a long ramp so the incline is not too crazy when in use. It is also larger than some others and has slightly raised edges. My dog is not as scared to fall because of that.2- I also like the fact that the floor is kind of rubbery and ribbed somehow. This provides great traction to the dog. Better than the fake sandpaper texture some other ramps have.3 - It is a bit heavy still manageable, sturdy easy to fold and to carry. There is a special notch to put your hand.I trained my dog inside first, with the ramp open on the ground, and made him cross the ramp a couple of times every day. As he was doing it, I had a cookie in my hand and he was just following the smell. Then I moved outside where we have a step and repeated the exercise again with the reward of the cookie each time he crossed. Then finally use it in the trunk (hatch back) the same way. Then he started doing it super easily without following the cookie, but with a cookie as a reward every time he reached the ground. Now he almost runs down. No fear at all and he loves it. Thanks for a fabulous product. I can go to walk my dog anywhere and to the vet without anybody to help me carry him down.

I bought the pet ramp for our female 3 yr old, 70lbs GSD, who had a recent procedure at the vet. I needed the ramp to be able to get our GSD into my Honda Pilot after the procedure. I’ll be honest, it took a few days of practice for me to get into the new routine of using the pet ramp. Our GSD was walking up and down the pet ramp with a few slices of provolone and lots of praise in a matter of minutes! I found the best point of entry into the SUV for our GSD with the pet ramp is the tailgate. The ramp has the best stability propped again the tailgate. After use, I fold the pet ramp and place the ramp into the back of the SUV. I’m 5’ tall and find the ramp fold in the middle of the ramp to be cumbersome and awkward to handle. The ramp is almost as tall as I am. To fold the ramp, I have to lay the ramp on the ground on its side, hold it with one hand to stabilize and stretch my other arm , grab the opposite side and fold. I’m vertically challenged, I get it, I make it work. This is an investment and I use the pet ramp daily with our GSD to get her in and out of my car for our daily drive to the neighborhood park. Long term, use of the pet ramp will only benefit our gsd to reduce wear and tear on her hips/joints. I would definitely recommend the pet ramp! It is sturdy, mobile, and ready to use out of the box. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is add built in braces on the underside of the fold of the ramp that lock in place and with a latch mechanism, similar to an ironing board. Again, I say, it’s an investment; the quality of materials and the ramp itself is worth the money. But, I should not have to pay extra money for small metal braces to keep the ramp open so it doesn’t fold on itself. Simply put, it’s about consumer safety and not about add-ons to get more money from the consumer. Just my 2 cents! Willow (our GSD) and I will happy to test the new and improved ramp!

2021 Update!Fantastic Ramp and held up to years of use and abuse and BC winters, rain, mud, sand and two 55lb dogs.I use on a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander on the side door and rear drop down tail gate and our 2009 Honda Civic. I did just recently get a side door adaptor, so I could angle the ramp more away from the door, as our older dogs were starting to struggle with the interior of the car door protruding into the walking surface and it has been made even betterI got the Solvit side door adaptor which is not made for this ramp and I obviously can't attest to the saftly of this, being used on a non compatible ramp but I have found it to be a great fit and it is more than secure enough for two 55 lb dogs.I originally bought the Pet Gear green mat covered bi-fold ramp but my dog was NOT keen on the texture and we found that she could not get her nails in it to grip as described. This ramp is very unique...the rubber textured ridges are amazing and our dog now walks up calmly and even waits half way if I go to stroke her while saying good girl. The other ramp made her rev up first and then dart up like a crazy girl so as to not be on it too long and this action caused a few accidents. It is heavy (to me) and took a bit of getting used to how I needed to position myself for the best way to unfold and fold away. I now have it sorted and while it is still heavy, the way my dogs especially the fussy girl use it, makes that small issue unimportant. I do wish they would make a shorter version as we have a Honda Civic and this longer length isn't needed. It is a tight fit for the rear door on a Honda Civic and has to go at a slight tilt but because the tread is so good the dogs have no issue.I LOVE IT!oh and we even tried it on a hire car Jeep and it was quite steep and I thought my fussy girl wouldn't manage as the other Pet Gear ramp even on a low incline freaked her out, but she went straight up and I could see her gripping her paws into the rubber ridges with no problem and a lot of confidence.
