addition to my small group rotations to practice fine motor. This doesn't come with a lot of paper for a classroom so be sure to get more if you are a teacher. I liked the book but wish it had some other options or easier ones to start with. The kids have enjoyed it so far.

Comes in a nice little box with paper and an instruction booklet. On the plus side, you get paper to fold. You would think that the instruction booklet would instruct, but the directions are essentially impossible to follow for an adult, let alone for kids as this product is billed. Save yourself the hassle, goto your local bookstore and buy an origami book with real instructions. The goal of this was to not have the kids watch videos online (ie screen time), so having a useful instruction manual was half the purpose of purchasing this but elsewhere I go. Good luck to anyone interpreting the instructions or make paper airplanes out of the paper

The paper is great - bright colors, easy to fold. If that’s all you need, this is great. The instructions were not good. They left out multiple steps and in some cases were erroneous. Recommend the origami books by Lafosse instead.

M six year old granddaughter likes this. She had already shown an interest in origami. It's also a fun activity to do with a child, or something an older child can do by themself. So far it seems to have good paper, good instructions, and was a worthwhile purchase that should be good over time.

I bought this for my children because it says it's for beginners, but I found it difficult to follow the instructions myself. They seemed very sparse. My son would hand me his paper and I would sit, totally befuddled for some time, before eventually figuring out what to do, often by just trying a bunch of things until it looked how it was supposed to. I think that twice the illustrations would be nice, at least for a beginner, which I myself am. I did some origami as a child, but basically know nothing.An instruction would say "do x" maybe with an arrow, and then in the next step would show the folded paper looking totally different and I would feel completely lost as to how it got to be that way.I also remember origami as including many folds, often simply to be used as guides for later folds. There are no guides folded in, in these instructions, they just show a dashed line that says, "fold here" and you either have to make some preliminary folds to indicate, say, the middle of the paper, your self, or just guestimate where to fold, and hope that your project will turn out symmetrical in the end.Overall, we are figuring it out, and my son has really enjoyed making fun things by folding paper. Maybe we will look up some instructions on youtube to use the rest of the paper.(Also note: NONE of the finished projects shown on the front of the booklet are included, those are just decoration. Inspiration I guess. The instruction booklet has probably around a dozen very simple projects.)
