Sometimes, plug adapter sockets are so loose, the US side won't grip. These adapters have nice, stiff US sockets. Wall-wart chargers stay plugged in. Good price, too. Tigerdog sez "Five Stars!"

This company sent me an email asking me to write a review. I planned to write it, of course, but I kind of forgot. The email sat in my inbox for weeks. I didn't hear anything else from them, they just patiently waited for me to answer the first. But I didn't. Time passed, and one day I was searching through my older emails and found their request again. "Oh well," I thought, "guess it's a little late now" and I promptly removed the email to the trash folder, assuming they probably didn't even care about my review anymore.I was wrong.Within hours, no minutes of me deleting the email, another email appeared amongst my unread messages. It has a simple request: review our product. How did they know? How did this company, which hadn't contacted me in weeks, with seemingly no other important reason to send the email on this day at 2:15 pm, a few minutes after deleting the first email, know to send me a repeat email. How did they know that I had lost faith in them, that they had to prove they cared. My email information is private, in theory, so it can't be seen by just anybody. But Bombay electronics isn't just anybody.Bombay electronics knows. Bombay electronics cares. Bombay electronics is watching.Perhaps, you might say, they care too much, but can you blame them? Like a new parent, worrying a little too much about their child, they watch benevolently, waiting for us to review them, to tell them what we like and where they went wrong. They long to grow, to change, to be better people, to help us help them.I am not angry at Bombay electronics; I am not scared of Bombay electronics. In the process of writing this review, I have changed as a person, I have become a better man and I have learned to love Bombay electronics. I cannot fault them for their desire to care about me. If that is their sin, I cannot imagine a better vice to have. Where they misled in their methods? Perhaps. But they were trying. Trying, not as the loving parent they strive to be but as the child yearning for affection, for growth, for reaffirmation. Bombay electronics is not a tyrant. Bombay electronics is my friend. No, Bombay electronics is like a family to me, regardless of the quality of their product. Let us join together to love and to enjoy Bombay, for we are assured that they shall reciprocate. But actually, their product is pretty good. It's durable, simple, cheap, and basically all you could want for a plug converter. Love and affection aside, I definitely recommend this product of its own merit.

Smaller than I tough. It does the job and feel solid for 5$ each. It does not convert from 220 to 120 but most devices can take it.

Travelled to Korea with these. They are good quality and fit perfectly into sockets. Not loose like others. Markings stamped into plug say good for 15amps at 220v though I wouldn't trust them for more power than a large laptop would consume.Would definitely recommend.

I travel to Europe often for work and while most of my gadgets are 110-240V capable, they all have the US 2- or 3-prong outlet. I purchased these adapters, so I could throw one in my suitcase, another in my carry-on and a few spares in other locations. They work great!First, the thing you have to look for is whether the adapter has a lip or not. These are flat-backed, which means that any type of plug, including power bricks, which are normally large, will fit snugly into this adapter. There is nothing more annoying than trying an adapter only to realize that while your laptop plug will fit, your phone power brick won't because a lip is preventing it from firmly connecting. Second, these adapters are grounded (the little silver side parts), which means that your gear will be grounded in a properly grounded foreign wall plug. Nothing says trouble faster than a piece of gear that gets an electrical short because you are traveling somewhere with power spikes. Finally, the actual 220V prongs are well made. I've purchased so many of these during my travels, until finding these, that would simply "snap" off after some use, leaving you with a single prong (useless) or worse, a prong inside the wall outlet (dangerous), which means you now can't use the wall outlet and should report it to prevent damage to the building. These will last and have thus far!One of my favorite things is to buy/use a European surge protector strip (don't try using an American - or 110V - strip in Europe with the adapter, you could end up frying the surge portion if not careful) and then fill all the holes with these adapters, allowing me to use my US/110V items, which are also 240V compatible. REMEMBER: look at your item's power supply before plugging in - make sure it says Input: 110-240V. If it doesn't, don't plug it in to a 220-240V outlet, unless you like seeing smoke rising from your now dead electronic.Overall, I like these adapters and have found no issues with them thus far. Obviously if you travel to zones with other plug requirements (UK, Asia, etc), then you will need a universal adapter or numerous plugs for each country. But if you only travel to Europe, you should be okay with these. While the picture is for 12 black adapters, I ended up getting 12 white ones, which wasn't an issue - but worth mentioning, as I would hate for you to order and be surprised when something else arrived. One last point (honest) - check to be sure the country you are traveling to uses the same type of plug or compatible plug wall sockets. This is a Type-F plug, which means it is grounded and standard width for Europe. It will fit a Type-C outlet as well, but not a Type-L, which is narrower.
