This converter simply works out of the box. I'm able to push 4k resolution from a desktop upstairs to my TV downstairs. Terrific solution. Just make sure to get the coax to BNI converters.

I connected RG-6 coax cable with total length about 130 feet to my Samsung 85" TV and my computer.I selected 4K - 60Hz - it is working.

I have a 65” 4K TV on top of my fireplace with a coaxial jack in the wall behind the TV for old school cable TV. There is also another coaxial jack a few feet away if you want to put a TV in another location in the living room; at that location, I have my AV shelf with my Apple TV and BluRay player. I went outside to the cable box on the side of the house and connected the cables that run to those jacks with a female to female coaxial coupler. Bought this set-up, and voila, I can watch my sources in the AV shelf on my TV above the fireplace. I had used wireless HDMI in the past, but there was always a slight lag which introduced a stutter in the video. With this setup, which worked right out of the box with no changing of the HDMI and EDID switches, the stutter and lag are gone! Very happy with yet another great solution by OREI.

This product is more than wonderful. It works perfectly. It converts HDMI to coax and back and the quality of the images do not loose any detail. It also has an IR transmitter/receiver function that I installed and I didn’t know that I needed so much. It was a very pleasant surprise.

I had a slight doubt about using the OREi over coax because i had only ever used Cat 5/6 baluns to extend HDMI w/ infrared capability. I will 100% absolutely endorse the OREI 4K HDMI Over Coax Extender...it is definitely the real deal. I am a pro A/V and Security contractor and will definately use this product again the next time i am faced with a situation in which cat 5/6 is not available for the transfer of audio and video from remote locations. 100% satisfied as well as my client. OREi is the real deal!!
