A direct replacement float for my Qualcast lawnmower. If you find that you are having difficulties with the mower and fuel is seeping out of the air filter housing connected to the carburettor, then check your float. They can corrode and develope pin holes, allowing fluid into the float, causing it to sink and as such, not shutting off fuel to the carburettor.

the float bowl on my 20 year old Tecumseh lawn mower began leaking. I replaced the float with this item after determining that the old float was filling with gas and staying open. carburetor is now working normally again. installation was quick and easy - note, there is a tiny needle resting on a very thin wire that needs to be transferred from the old float to the new one. reverse disassembly and slide the hinge pin back in. seat the gasket. line up the slight depression at the bottom of the float bowl with the orientation of the float and you're good to go.

Original float leaked causing the gasoline to drain out of the carburetor, this new metal replacement float is an exact fit and works as it should. It took less than 4days to get the part from the seller.

This float did not fit in my Tecumseh carburetor, even though the product description said it would fit "All Tecumseh-Built Carburetors." (Engine model prefix H50.) This despite the fact that the description says it replaces Part #632019, which was exactly what I was looking for.I was optimistic -- I installed it in place, affixed the carb needle, and then screwed the carburetor bowl back on. Then, I tested it by holding the reassembled carb in its proper upright position, and exhaling through the fuel inlet...What SHOULD have happened is, my air should have flowed through the carb easy-peasy, just like the fuel would. HOWEVER, I couldn't blow through it -- i.e., the fuel inlet was plugged. This was because, even though the bowl was empty, the needle was already pushed all the way up & stopping the fuel inlet. THIS was because the float was sized incorrectly. In the end, I repaired my old white-plastic float (which was partially full with gas) by drilling a small hole, draining the gas out, and patching the hole. I reinstalled that float into the carb, and reattached the carb to the engine yesterday, and fired her up -- worked great, ready for winter!!!(P.S.: At first she was stalling out when I un-choked, i.e. fuel-mix was running a bit thin -- but that's an easy adjustment, I just turned the mixing screw on the bottom of the carb a half-turn counterclockwise, to let more gas in. After that, I started her back up and opened the choke all the way, and she was purrin like a cat in heat!)

Exact replacement . . bought this because I could not find a plastic replacement . . the one I replaced was leaking and would not float anymore causing carburetor to dump fuel because bowl would overfill.

It is definitely a nicely made product, the one thing they should add is the diameter, I know the part number is there, the one I needed is a little bigger.

The correct part, Tecumseh Part 632019, at a good price that brought the car and engine back to life. I used this and the float valve kit, Tecumseh Part 631021A, to rebuild, after cleaning, the carb on a 25 year old engine. This engine always got its oil changes, so now it runs like new again.
