1/4-inch drip blank distribution tubing or “spaghetti” tubing has a nominal inside diameter of 0.25 inches and internal diameter of 0.170 inches. It is made of durable, flexible low-density polyethylene (LDPE) which makes it suitable for a variety of landscape designs. 1/4-inch drip blank distribution tubing can either come directly off the hose faucet via a 3/4-inch female hose thread (FHT) x 1/4-inch Drip-Lock adapter, off a 1/2-inch drip distribution line via a Drip-Lock manifold, or via a 1/2-inch Single- or multi-port Drip manifold on a 1/2-inch PVC riser. Choose from a variety of 1/4-inch fittings, emitters, and micro-sprinklers to connect tubing and provide water to each plant location. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

The tube was very stiff and hard to connect to my irrigation pieces. I read that soaking the end of the tibe in hot water for 10 seconds softens it so its easier to stretch. I soaked for about 20 seconds and then I was able to use it.

Easy to cut to size for extention of our drip network and easy to connect the fittings

Unfortunately I installed the tubing before trying it out to see if it worked. A few minutes in the sun release the tight coil into a straight line. After the tubing was tacked down it was time to install the fittings at intervals. The tubing was so hard and inflexible the fittings would not stay in the tubing. The process of pushing the fittings stretched the stiff tubing and there was no spring to hold the fittings.

Not my favorite hose, hard to get over the drip nipple without breaking it. But once on they are on even the weed whackers don’t knock them off. Pretty springy until the sun relaxes them too.

The last drip system I bought from Orbit had a very flexible hose - this was the hard plastic that I find in local hardware stores, so I was disappointed. It works fine, just not as easy to manipulate and hide.

There was fifty feet and it is the size advertised. We will see how long it lasts. Nothing more can be said.
