It works. My cat (15 yrs) would drool excessively often due to teeth problems but after 5 days, she drools only a tiny bit and eats a whole lot better. Still, saving money for veterinarian dental work.

My little guy took to the Oral Care mouth freshener/and supposed to dissolve the plague. Fingers crossed on that.He drinks plenty of water. His bad breath is gone in two weeks of using this product . I would say it is doing its job.

Mad About Organics Daily Oral Water Treatment for dogs really works well. I just place it in my dog's water every morning in a new, clean bowl of water. The ingredients are natural and work well to clean my dog's teeth. Her breath is fresh and she has less tartar on her teeth. In my opinion it helps as a preventive care measure to keep her teeth and gums healthy and clean. I would recommend this product for oral dental care for your dog. I do not know how it tastes but, she has no problems drinking this throughout the day.

I tested this with 2 medium size dogs, 25 & 40 lbs. Neither had an issue with the smell or taste. I bought this after reading some article thinking I was getting years worth of something that make brushing unnecessary. The writer of that article must have used the 'few drops' starting dose. Once I worked up to the .5-1 capful it was clear it wasn't going to last long; 1 month in my case. Not a big deal if it worked but I found it didn't work well enough to be worth the hassle and cost. Both dogs had gone through at least a several week period of no brushing and a period of frequent if not daily brushing. No bad breath with regular brush with the enzymatic toothpaste, though roughly a week of no brushing and it'd start to get noticeable. Neither of these dogs have 'bad breath' but there is a smell. Before testing this product the dogs were getting regular brushing and I stopped at the time I started this product. It took probably 3 weeks before I noticed a their breath again. So it appears to help; just not enough to completely replace brushing. By the way I did keep my bottle refrigerated, so I'm assuming the product didn't go bad by week 3.If there was an easier way to use the product, like a popping a dissolvable tablet into the water bowl, then I might continue using it.

We just switched to Mad About Organics for our four cats. A few months ago one of them had some oral health issues so we decided it would be good to start using a water additive. We started out with a competing product, which we bought here on Amazon. To my knowledge it did not negatively affect them in any way, and it cleared up one cat's bad breath. However, I have been gradually making the shift to a more natural lifestyle so when the other product was used up, I decided to check out the other products available on Amazon. If I am striving to live a healthier lifestyle, I should have the same standard for my four-legged family members.Just like our previous product, Mad About Organics contains water, aloe vera, and glycerine. These are the only ingredients they have in common. They both smell minty; this one because it contains both wintergreen and peppermint, and the other one because it contains peppermint flavoring. So this one has herbs, while the other has artificial flavoring. Mad About Organics finishes off the ingredients with kelp and tinctures of cranberry and blueberry. It is a totally natural product! Many of the water additives include sodium benzoate and/or potassium sorbate. Our previous product contained both. These preservatives are widely believed to be safe, but some people are now questioning this; I have been seeing articles recommending to avoid them if possible.Mad About Organics was the only product I found that is all natural. As with the previous product, the cats do not seem to mind the flavor. The cat who once had a bad breath problem is doing well (i.e. the bad breath has NOT returned). As for whether it is reducing plaque, I may never know, as I am not anxious to fight with the felines to get a look inside their mouths. The more important thing in my mind is that I have no doubt as to its safety, so I know that I am in no way harming them. The only reason I am giving four, rather than five stars, may seem minor. Nonetheless, it is important to me. The product comes with an old-fashioned lid. The kind that has to be unscrewed and removed. Most bottles nowadays have something like a flip-top, so that you can open the bottle without removing the lid. Also, with the flip-top or similarly designed caps, the flow is reduced so that it is easier to pour the desired amount. I have arthritis and do not enjoy unscrewing a cap with my my aching hands. I also have a bit of trouble hanging onto things, and have already dropped the cap a couple of times and had to get down on my knees to retrieve it from where it had rolled. Also, it is hard to pour just a small amount because the bottle opening is too large. Maybe nobody else would care about this, but I am just letting you know.BOTTOM LINE: This product is almost perfect.
