My daughter (age 6) dressed as an artist for career day. This was a perfect addition to her fit and she uses it constantly.I’ve seen the same one (in a high-end kids boutique) for three times the price. She begged me for it that day, so I took a picture, and found it here.They’ve held up quite a bit longer than other paints found at Walmart and the colors are vibrant. We’ve been very happy.

This paint is so vibrant and pretty! Easy to use and cleans off everything really well. It’s so fun! My daughters have gone through 2 already, they always ask for the same one again.

Easy for my 3 year old to work with. He likes to mix the colors but they somehow stay color-true and vibrant. We've only bought one but it's lasted multiple painting sessions and still going. Definitely would buy again.

Someone in the reviews convinced me to go ahead and buy because they mentioned that this paint has great pigmentation. And they are so right! I have another paint set and it does not have intense colors like these. As a matter of fact I'm buying two more sets because I love the quality!

I was happy that the brush included in this set is capable of holding a good amount of water even though it is very small (close to a #4 round). It shed hairs, which is common for low price brushes, but I think that will ease up over time. This is a decent kids paint set, and like most paints made for children it's a bit chalky and not the same level of shimmer you'd get with a student grade or professional watercolor at a higher price point. I did not expect it to be, but was a little sad that only a few colors had a reaction to the salt trick - a kid favorite for watercolor play time. I also found that the glue in the bottom of the pans does not work at all. The lid also comes completely off, so you can imagine my surprise when I left a child unattended to find the paint tablets dumped out of the pans and the palette lid missing. Good to know if you have a younger kid that may need supervision.Because I normally use professional artist quality paint sets, I initially thought the color selection was a little sad for mixing due to the yellow being so muted (like the inside of a banana). This resulted in some mediocre color mixing, if you or your kid are trying to do anything with color theory or mixing to get the perfect shade. I did not remove any stars for this though, not only because the price point was low, but because they give you plenty of convenience colors. Want to mix the perfect green? You probably don't have to, because it already has two shades of green in this set. The sad loser is really all the sun in the sky paintings kids love, because its not a bright lemon sort of yellow.That said, if you go into this purchase knowing what to expect, I think you'd be happy. All of the colors initially go down without looking shimmery, but have a gentle pearl glitter once dry. The gold is the only one that shines gold, the rest are colors with a thin layer of white-pearl. I've attached a swatch photo of how they look on both black and white paper, wet wash or not diluted and also added salt to test texture. Hope you find this helpful, and likely entirely TMI :)

Love this set! I was a little bummed at first because they are more expensive than little crayola watercolors, but they are So worth it! They don't collect water as easily, so my little painter wastes a lot less paint with this set, so really, it saves me money. The colors are Beautiful and not what you would get from superstore watercolors. My daughter that paints every day loves them and I don't even think we will even buy other ones any more, we are pretty sold on these. They are great and I would highly recommend them! =D
