Works a lot better than the chemical guys foam blaster. I haven’t had any issues. If some of the reviews think this is cheaply made I don’t want to know what they’d think about the chemical guys one. That one didn’t even survive one wash

It can be difficult to make the right connections to get it to fit on a standard hose but once it’s on it does a pretty good job. The foam coverage is pretty good and makes washing vehicles more enjoyable.

During the first time I used this, the top of the nozzle developed several small holes out of which came streams of water spraying in multiple directions. Wanting to finish washing me car, I applied a layer of silicon sealant covered by few layers of duct tape. The second time I used it, the nozzle blew completely off as I was spraying foam. Again, wanting to finish washing my car, I duct taped the nozzle back in place because the OEM spring that is supposed to hold it was just too weak. So now, this has two major failures masked by two feet of duct tape and a glob of silicone after only three partial washes. Pretty shoddy product.

After ordering this item, I got a bit worried after reading some of the reviews here. Used it for the first time today and it worked like a charm. It connects and disconnects quickly and does not leak ant the cannister mounting point or at the hose attachment point. As for using alot of soap, there is a line on the cannister to which you fill it with soap and the rest with water - I used to put more soap than this when I used the two bucket method. The suds coverage is surprising. Very easy to use, suds the car up, wash with a wash mitt, disconnect the soap cannister and rinse. The only thing it won't do is clean your car by simply spraying the soap and spraying it off - but then you shouldn't really expect it to.

Was looking for a foam cannon for my garden hose as I didn't have a pressure washer. This was the cheapest I could find locally, at half the cost of the USA branded ones. I thought, nothing to lose. If it didn't work I'll return it, but lo and behold, it does actually work! The build quality is good - brass fittings throughout and also came with a filter to ensure grime doesn't get into the hose and bottle. My water hose doesn't have great pressure, but nonetheless it still worked at setting #5 (the highest)! Having used it once, I'll try a more concentrated formula for my car shampoo. Only minor gripe is the water bottle is not big enough - was barely sufficient for my sedan. Probably won't be enough for a larger car.

I don't understand the reviews saying this is cheaply made or it doesn't work. I've used it twice, to wash two different cars and it worked as shown in the video I saw of it, and as described in the instructions. As for being cheaply made, what do you expect for $20 ? But it's really not cheaply made: The handle and other parts are made from high quality ABS plastic. The container that holds the soap solution is of a decent size and seems to be solid and not flimsy. The spray gun handle seems solidly made and has a good feel to it and doesn't feel cheap. While it's possible to make the various parts of the foam cannon from metal, that would quadruple the price and increase its weight. So small compromises have been made with its design to keep it low-cost but it's still very effective.Though most of it is made of ABS plastic, if it is taken care of it should continue working for a long long time.So far I am very pleased with it. It created a very decent foam from soap that is not specifically a foaming soap (Karsh soap). I would imagine with a soap that is designed specifically to foam it will work even better. The dial on the soap container allows setting the foaming level. Since I was not using soap designed to foam the dial seemed to work best at #5 position which is maximum foam. For settings #1 to #4 I didn't notice much foaming difference. The #0 position puts out clear water and is very useful because you don't have to take of the cannon and use a separate spray gun. Though that's what I prefer to do to free-up my movement around the vehicle and not accidentally mar the vehicle if I get in really close. However, nothing is perfect and there are some pros and cons:Pros:-Very easy to use-Inexpensive - rivals foam cannons costing 3 to 5 times in price.-Does not require a pressure/power washer -this is a big plus in my opinion.-Works with a typical garden hose and water from a spigot.-Ability to dial-in the foam level or switch to clear water is very useful and saves time.-Comes complete - no additional items required (except soap and a garden hose with water are need).-Worked quite well for me.-Did not leak at all.Cons:-It is made mostly of ABS plastic but it does require some care that it's not abused.-Fluid container should be a larger.Overall though, I think the Pros indicate a very cost effective product. If you do get this, I would suggest that you purchase some quick-connects, as I did, for attaching to your garden hose and the foam cannon to make connecting / disconnecting it easier. In addition, a shut-off valve can also be added to the end of the garden hose so you don't have to run all the way back to the spigot to turn off the water if you disconnect the foam cannon and attach a spray wand or spray gun.In terms of Durability I did not provide a rating. Time will tell how well it lasts at which point I will update this review. If you don't have a power/pressure washer and want to use a foam cannon with just your plain old garden hose this foam cannon sees to be excellent. Just be sure the pressure from your water spigot is at a good level to maximize the foaming and distance you can send the foam (or clear water).(If you're wondering about water pressure, 40 to 80 PSI is what is recommended for a garden hose spigot for home use.)Yes, I definitely would recommend it to a friend.

I gave the Carwash Cannon as a gift for my son which he asked for. This is his review because Amazon wouldn’t let him review it under his account. I think that the term Foam Cannon is for use with a pressure washer and the term Foam Gun is for use with just a garden hose, so I will call it a Foam Gun. I wanted a Foam Gun, but the one I originally saw (a different brand) was over twice the price as the Carwash Cannon even though the other brand looked almost exactly the same as the Carwash Cannon except for the color. I didn’t feel that that the other brand was worth over twice the price which is why I didn’t buy it.First, anyone who knows anything about car washing is that you will not get your car clean without some “rubbing”. That is like expecting your car to come clean when it rains. I wanted the Carwash Cannon as a “soap dispenser” which it worked well for me. I like the quick release connector for the Mixing Head which makes it easy to soap then disconnect to rinse. I would have given it 5 stars, but there are five things that I think could be improved upon like the Foam Nozzle should be twist-and lock (I think that it comes out too easily), the soap bottle could be “textured” (It is hard to grab when wet), the extra Quick Connector should include the female end also (the included male end may not mate well with a different brand female end which I did not get yet), and the Hand Grip might be more durable if it is metal instead of plastic (even though I did not have any problems with it). Also, a little better documentation is needed about the screen and washer pieces. There is a screen/washer piece at the bottom of the Hand Grip and one washer piece in the Quick Connector on the side that attaches to the Mixing Head. There was another screen and washer piece in my box. Ontel told me that they are extras.I only tried the Carwash Cannon one “way” on two vehicles. Here is some info if you are interested. My soap of choice was Mothers California Gold Carnauba Wash & Wax. It has made for Foam Cannons and Foam Guns on the label. You probably don’t want to use dishwashing soap like some idiot on YouTube. Dishwashing soap is supposed to remove wax. I used the “5 setting”. I put the Mothers soap in the soap Bottle then added a little bit of warm water to help “dissolve” the soap not shaking the mixture (just kind of “swirled” the container in a circular motion) as in the instructions. Like I said before, I only used the Carwash Cannon once, so I don’t know if filling the soap container with warm water would produce less suds or not. I added soap with a little warm water as needed. Here is how I washed the vehicles.1) I rinsed the vehicle first to remove loose first.2) I did the vehicle in sections which were roof, front, back, left side and right side.3) I sprayed the foam soap. I did it quickly because the soap container would empty quickly with soap just up to the “soap level”.4) After spraying the foam soap, I used a Chenille sponge to clean each section rinsing the sponge often in a bucket of clean water. I then disconnected the Mixing Head and rinsed the section with the Hand Grip.5) I did the wheels last with a different Chenille sponge and the same method as washing the sections. I did the wheels last and used a different sponge because of brake dust.6) I rinsed the whole vehicle so that the whole vehicle was wet and used my Toro Cordless Blower to dry the vehicle and help eliminate spots.
