Receiver arrived in timely and good condition. Don't expect the CPS extended warranty as advertised. ListenUp said they will provide extended warranty through them. Hopefully will not have to find out how that goes.

This Onkyo TX-NR6100 7.2 replaced my 16 year old Denon receiver that crapped out. My Denon was finicky and of course no Bluetooth. The Bluetooth on the Onkyo was super easy to set up and when not watching movies or sports, we stream music from Pandora and Spotify. I am very satisfied with my purchase and it works great as my surround sound receiver as well as streaming music..

We won't mention the fact that Fedex stole my new AVR, and I had to get mine from Best Buy.... but I like it. Depends on your use perhaps, but I like it better than the 3 Denons I've had over the last 10 years. Mainly due to a couple of features: Zone 2 approach is much better. Sound via HDMI to Zone 2 TV, as well as via stereo speakers. That feature in a Denon doubles the price. ZOne 2 can also use any AVR outputs, different from Main Zone as desired. Not sure the more expensive Denon does this. Setup is perhaps a bit easier, but careful how you read the manual. I had to hook up my 5.1 speakers 3 times before I got all working correctly. There are some glitches as well - streaming from a NAS to the TV with sound to the Onkyo via eARC didn't work on mine, with Zone 2 powered. eARC kept switching in and out, unbearable. I ended up hooking up a stream box with HDMI out to the Onkyo, and could then feed both zones anyhow. Much better sound quality that way anyhow. Onkyo support was surprised by this, could not diagnose, and kept wanting me to reset to factory, reconnect all connections, and setup again. No thanks. Just hooking up the external stream box fixed it, and was better anyhow,r

Being a Pioneer owner for 14 somewhat years and loving it I wasn't sure about buying an Onkyo, but I pulled the trigger. I was so moved by the sound quality that I had to review this receiver. Bought an other brand (won't mention the model) sent it back in 3 days. Sounded like you were hearing it through a tin can. I have to confess though it wasn't a higher end price wise receiver. You get what you pay for. The on screen set up was a breeze. The speaker calibration was a piece of cake, just plug it in the front of the unit and follow the on screen instructions. Very nice audio modes, THX etc. Haven't tried the bluetooth feature yet, will get around to that. Customer support is really good. Heard some people complain. Called and the tech was very helpful, no worries there. Tip, the little gear on the remote gets you into your settings where you can make easy changes. You can even rename your HDMI port. Can't say enough except that I was a little hesitant buying a receiver with only 3 reviews but took a chance and was pleasantly surprised! If you are on the fence give it a go, you will see what I mean. PS: Nice weight to it almost 27lbs. Made in Japan not China lol. Another tip, the 2 year warranty and dust cloth is taped to the side of the receiver box in the form of a credit card. you have to go online to register your receiver. Good Luck, hope this helps.

I have owned 4 Onkyo receivers since 1979 and each time it only gets better. After 12 years with my last Onkyo A/V Receiver, I replaced it with this TX-NR6100 7.2 A/V Receiver and was blown away by the sound quality. Very Happy!

Excellent receiver, plenty of power. It’s been a few years since I have purchased any new stereo equipment, my last receiver was a Harman/Kardon about 15 years so I decided it was time for an upgrade. A lot has changed in 15 years! This Onkyo is packed with more features than I’ll ever use, but overall from what I’ve experienced is that I’ll be very happy with this unit for years to come! I’m powering a pair of Klipsch RP-8000 and soon a Klipsch 12” powered sub. This blows my last setup away already! Looking forward annoying the neighbors real soon!!
