This cat crate is currently necessary for our living conditions, where a cat cannot safely scamper about the house unimpeded. This was not the cheapest model we considered, but it had received better reviews than lower-priced competitors. It goes together pretty quickly. It's not the sturdiest; the metal is rather thin, and if it gets any pressure at all, it bends out of place. The zip cables included with the crate are laughably ineffective at keeping it together and keeping the walls plumb. The cat tolerates it well enough--or about as well as any cat tolerates any cage. She didn't appreciate the rigid plastic platforms, but adding a folded blanket and a self-warming mat improved her estimation of the product and allowed her to get comfortable. We were alarmed one day early on to come home and find our cat missing, her crate door open; short of a mean-spirited poltergeist or a rather weirdly-driven home invader, there are few explanations for this other than her opening her crate herself. This is a serious concern. For now, we lock the openings with luggage locks, and that has been effective enough (FYI, she showed back up hungry and covered in cobwebs about 30 minutes after we arrived; we assume she wiggled her way into the ceiling through a loose acoustic tile). This crate does serve its purpose for now, but if you live in a home with very active children or rambunctious adults, I don't recommend this product. My kid tripped and fell against the crate, which bent the wiring out of shape in places, and we haven't been able to get the pieces on that side of the crate properly aligned since. For the price, though, it will do, and as no one here tosses footballs around or fences indoors, I don't expect any further damage to befall it. It is tall enough to offer space for a cat to climb and explore, though you'll need to add some items to climb on. The litter box is well-contained, and I appreciate the fact that the platforms are vented to allow bits of kibble and ripped-up cat toys to fall to the bottom for easy clean-up.You could do better than this for a cat crate, but for this price, and this size, you could definitely do a whole lot worse.

Easy to put together, latches and unlatches great! Good build quality, size was as expected, good value for the price. As far as comfort, I don’t think it would be to comfy as is. I put our cat bed in there and bought a kitty hammock. I love that the litter box is built in. Our kitty loves it!

This is a really good crate to keep a bed, some toys, hammocks, and food for a kitty to prevent them from getting into trouble unsupervised. The crate is big and spacious, but a little wobbly (not too wobbly for them to knock it over, though). We have ours next to the window and he loves looking out and watching the birds. He willingly goes into it when it's open. The litter box does a great job keeping a lot of the stink out.

Works great for my kitten, gives her lots of space and keeps her safe when I'm not home. The wire is thin, and I recommend using the zip ties to add stability, but overall very nice and worth the price. The enclosed litter box is nice!

roomy and very easy to assemble, bought it to hold feral cats while after catching them so I could get them fixed before they started a colony, will now keep it so that I can leave my indoor cats out in the yard while I am out with them or on the patio for. them to enjoy the sun

I wasn't sure if crating my cat would be long-term, so I didn't want to spend the money for a more substantial catio. I have used these snap-together grid panels before, so knew exactly what assembly would take and how sturdy the structure would be. I assembled it by myself; it would have been easier with 2 but was not difficult. I did need pliers to get the pieces to snap all the way into the connectors. Those who think it is flimsy probably did not get the grids snapped in tight. I absolutely love the included litterbox, it was the deciding factor for picking this model. The latches work well, and the shelves are sturdy enough for my 12 pound kitty to jump from one to another. Would I recommend? Absolutely! I have already purchased a smaller one for another room so she can be with me there. One small detail, the zip ties are white and quite noticeable. If that's going to bother you, buy a bag of small black zip ties to use.

It's an excellent cage a little bit tedious to put together but once you do it's great my cat's lay in it just to be laying in it
