I love this pedometer. I got my first one as part of a "healthy living" program I enrolled in but recently lost it. I liked it so much I had to buy another. With the 3-axis accelerometer (just like most smart phones) it doesn't need to be in any specific orientation to work properly. Wear it on your belt, put it in your pocket any which way and it does its job. The best part is that it is very good at ignoring movements that are not actually walking. I've had many pedometers over the years and those old mechanical movements give you lots of bogus steps. I had gotten a Fitbit for Christmas but ended up returning it because it was very bad at accurately counting steps. But this inexpensive little unit gives an honest count. The seven day memory feature and the automatic reset to zero at midnight are great. Due to its thin profile and overall size it fits well in the watch pocket of most jeans, or you can wear it on your belt with the included clip. As for battery life, on my first one, I had to put in a fresh battery after about seven months of daily use.

Great pedometer for the price - very easy to set up , small fits easily in pocket -seems accurate when checked on walking track once you get your stride right - if you just want to keep track of distance and don't want to be bothered hooking up to apps and Internet this one is for you

This pedometer is small, easy to read, easy to program, and tough! I had been using a pedometer app on my iPhone with much difficulty and inaccurate readings. The reviews for this Omron were good and the price was affordable. Since i have used their products in the past, I decided to give it a try. It is very accurate when walking more than 4 seconds. I appreciate its simplicity of use, lightweight feel and large font. It has a clock feature, steps and miles/ kilometer readings. It does not measure calories burned. It resets at midnight each night but does have a memory feature. I like that it does not have an on switch. It automatically keeps track, just put it on your belt, collar or pocket and go! Now to the durability! This unit is like the old Timex commercials when I was a kid! Takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I have dropped it twice, run it through the washer twice and the dryer once! All by accident and not recommended by the maker, but it shows no wear and works perfectly! Impressive. Highly recommend this product for basic data. Consider the safety strap purchase!!

Works great, tracks relatively accurate. Measures in steps and kilometres (or miles), keeps data for a week. Fairly easy setup, and it's small enough to fit in any of my pockets so it doesn't have to show.

I bought this to use with a weight loss app and it was important for me to do a set amount of steps a day. This is so a curate as you have to first measure your stride and enter it in to the pedometer. It also tells you how many miles or kilometers you have walked and a clock. So easy to use. I wear it every day just clip it on to my belt trousers or even on to my bra and it never falls off.

If you want to track your steps and calories, and upload the data to computer for comparison, purchase one of the more expensive devices that permit such record-keeping. If you only desire to keep an accurate count of steps taken and miles incurred per day, and get a sense of how much walking you are doing on a regular basis, his inexpensive pedometer works fine and takes up minimal room in your pocket. You won't be devastated if you lose it and have to buy another one. (I purchased a cord separately on Amazon for under $2 including shipping.) Set up is easy once you have measured the length of your stride in inches(be realistic when counting off the ten steps). The HJ-320 keeps records for the current and the seven previous days. (It resets to zero at midnight local time.) You can't upload the data and there is no record of calories consumed or sleep time, just steps, distance in miles, and time of day. After researching the more expensive devices I decided to try the HJ-320 first for a couple of months to see whether I was really into record-keeping (as I am with my bike rides). I will likely just stick with the HJ-320 and depend on it to encourage me to walk more during my workday.Update:After 5 years and many miles my HJ-320 died. I quickly purchased another one. Although the price had increased this pedometer still seems to be a very good choice if you want to count distance as well as steps. If you want a lanyard as I do it must be purchased separately, a minor extra cost

Low cost and excellent performance. It is very simple to set up, extremely light weight, small footprint, and records steps accurately. Just drop it in your pocket and forget about it. I only use it for walks and it is very accurate, within a foot. The main source of discrepancy is in how you measure your stride (step). Since the stride changes with velocity, think of the figure as an average plus or minus a small difference with the measured length (true length of the circuit). An adjustment of just one inch gave me the exact same figures (device, circuit) so be aware of this. The device resets itself automatically every day and allows for up to 7 days history plus today (total of 8 days). Converts steps to distance and has a clock (not a stopwatch, just a clock), so if you want time you have to either bring a stopwatch or record start / finish time. You may select miles or kilometers. Extremely useful. If you are having separate sessions just record the initial steps count and/or miles/kilometer count and the substract from it.
