this grid mat is exactly what it says, its accurate, easy to read and easy to use. Not too big , but big enough. I really enjoy it, although I havent had to use it much so far. I'm sure that will change

This larger size Omnigrid quilter’s square for cutting out blocks that are bigger than the standard 12-1/2” square is a must-have. Grid lines are nice and clear to see too.

I use this 15 x 15 inch ruler all the time. I broke my old one and immediately replaced it. It is one of the most-used rulers in my sewing room.The thing I like most about it is that it does not have the extra 1/2" seam allowance. Adding that extra half inch was a bad idea, and now most of the rulers add it. The manufacturers think quilters need help adding half an inch to a measurement. We don't.The rulers with the "built-in" seam allowances do not make cutting easier, they do not reduce mistakes. They make cutting more difficult and increase the probability of mistakes. You have to constantly check to make sure you haven't rotated your ruler. Turn it around and around. all that spinning is tedious and annoying.This 15 inch ruler is one of the few rulers on the market that does not try to help me do math by making my ruler more difficult to use. I love it!If you are wondering whether or not you would use a big ruler like this one, the answer is yes, if you are a quilter you will probably use it a lot. I use it to square things up, and I use it in conjunction with my 8x24 inch ruler to cut and crosscut my strips. Yes, some of my rulers do not get used much, but I use this 15x15 square all the time.A word about shipping-- I was worried that this big ruler would get chipped in shipping. BUT Hancock taped these great cardboard supports on both sides of the ruler. Obviously someone put some thought into how to ship this successfully and the plan worked perfectly! So, a big shout out to the shipping people, WELL DONE!
