I did use large hose clamps to secure it. Did not trust the fasteners that came with it.

This defroster tube worked good and fit perfectly in my 1979 Jeep CJ7 GE. The material is more like rubber than plastic like the other brand that's available. Fairly easy to install. Removing the radio and glove box makes it a breeze to install.

Looked Good, Almost fit /Clamp Handles broke when tried to snap close / Install. Had to duct tape in place.Old One lasted 38 years.

Is well made snaps at each end are useless. Pulled stereo to make install easier. Took some doing finished in about an hour. Works really good now.

I was really glad to find that this duct had been reproduced and was available for purchase as my Jeep was missing this part (and many other parts) due to sitting for many years before I bought it. The previous owner was selling parts off it. Now that I have this part, and the flex duct, my defrost works properly.

Side and shape were perfect. Seems to be synthetic material to replace the original cloth. The latches (clamps) seem a little cheap but I was able to make is snug and work great. Very satisfied.
