I don't do the plants in our house, I just dig the holes for the outside ones, so this is a wife review.-----These little pots are absolutely perfect for moisture loving miniature plants, such as African violets of small orchids. When I saw them, I thought they would be perfect for tolumnia orchids or the tiny phalaenopsis you can sometimes find in grocery or hardware stores. They are about 2 inches square, but the bottom of the planting part tapers down to about an inch and a half circle. The drainage holes on the bottom are a bit large, considering the small size of the planter, but would be okay for chunky media like leca or coir. I think regular potting soil would fall through the drainage holes without some kind of screen. If you buy bare root seeding orchids these pots would be a great first home for them.
