The trinocular microscopy comes with a 45° inclined 360° swiveling trinocular sliding viewing head, two pairs of widefield eyepieces, four achromatic objectives, stain-resistant double layer mechanical stage with scales, coarse & fine focusing, NA 1.25 Abbe condenser, variable intensity LED transmitted illumination, 100 blank glass slides, 100 glass cover slips, 100 sheets of len cleaning paper and microscope book, "The World of The Microscope". It offers six levels of magnification power: 40X-100X-250X-400X-1000X-2500X. The 5MP USB digital imaging system captures still microscope images and live video on computer. The included software compatible with Windows, and Mac OS X (see version information below). The user-friendly editing and processing software for Windows offers advanced features including stitching, EDF (Extended Depth of Focus), video recording and measurement functions. The software allows you to make notes, shapes, and watermarks with ease. You can analyze, present, and share images of samples and specimens using the software. This type of digital compound microscopy is perfect for teaching demonstration and clinical examination, laboratories and advanced applications.

We've just started using this microscope for homeschool, but so far we are extremely pleased. The controls to adjust the slide position, coarse/fine focus, and the light brightness are all very easy to use. We grabbed a few samples from around the house (plant material, puddle water, and a blood sample) and were able to get great views of all of them on various magnifications. We installed the Mac version of the ToupLite software on our Macbook. It was able to connect just fine to the included USB lens camera. The software is the weak point of the package, as it's not at all intuitive to use (especially when trying to save files/videos), but having the microscope image display on the laptop for everyone else to watch while someone else is working on focus/finding cool areas of the sample is a great feature and a must if more than one person is wanting to view samples (just watch out for all the backseat focus/slide movement driving, ha).

It looks ok but the light on the microscope doesn't work. I plugged the DC cable into the wall the cable lights up red but the light does not work.Also there is no manual for the microscope. There is only a manual for the camera software that came on a CD.

Wow! So impressed by this for the price. I bought it for my 8 year old daughter and decided to get a decent microscope instead of a "toy". Stereoscopic viewing allows you to get a feel for the 3d depth. The camera works well and was simple to set up on a mac. I'm looking forward to trying some stop motion animation.

The microscope is very good considering the price. What made me mad is that I couldn't put the camera with my Mac, no software included, Omax doesn't answer emails.

Everything I have tried works wonderfully. Be prepared to dust it. It is not overly dirty... just manufacture specs. I just got it today, which was several days early =) I dropped one of the slide boxes by trying to grip it by pinching the sides and the bottom fell out =( So hold it from the bottom. I am going to love this microscope with my kiddos this year. I have a fun new hobby. My only real regret is that there is NO manual.

Great Microscope for the price. Customer service is excellent. The LED was not working when it first arrived. I contacted them and they sent me a second new unit. All the accessories that comes with it is added bonus and is a bit cheaper.
