If this cost $60-80 it would would be a fine enough product. It's made of a cheap, flimsy material, and it feels janky to use. The locks easily get jammed, and you'll frequently be left struggling to get it to close properly. It's also very small, which could be fine if that's what you're looking for, but is also another reason it shouldn't cost so much.It will be pushing $300 after tax, and it's simply outrageous. I wish that I could return mine.

The carrier itself seems well made but I'm having a big problem with the locking mechanisms. When the carrier is unlocked, it's very difficult to turn the key back again to lock it and remove the key. Since locking the carrier is important to keep it closed while traveling, and to prevent theft of items in it, this is a big deal. I'm very disappointed that I have so much trouble trying to lock this carrier and am concerned that at some point, I may not be able to get it to lock at all.

This needs more troubleshooting before release. The lock jams and doesn’t release the key. The hinges are weak and don’t attach well. I wouldn’t recommend it. Also eliminated a star since the returned item was delivered over a week ago and I still have not received a refund or aby contact from the seller. Now I have to call Amazon for my refund.

This product did not fit our car’s cross brackets (Chev Equinox) even though the discription said it would. I was unable to attempt assembly until after the 30 day return policy which I was unaware of at the time. I guess that’s on me?? The carrier itself is a bit flimsy, was also disappointed with that.
