The ladies of farmer families stitched with cotton thread in order to retain heat well and to strengthen cotton/linen fabric. This package contains 2 sashiko needles: 1-15/16" and 2-5/8".

Disappointed in the diameter of the needles. The circumference is greater than necessary for my use & expensive for 2 needles. I returned them.

The needles are slightly thicker than I was expecting. I do like the different lengths they cone in. Well made and pretty sharp.

I love these needles for sashiko. They are incredibly strong and have nice, big eyes. These are the only sashiko needles I will use.
