My spouse acquired a teak bath caddy that folds in the center, and is intended to have a bracket that bolts in to hold it stable. Unfortunately, that item came without the hardware. All of my existing brass stock was far to thin for stability. This piece of sheet is think enough to be stiff, thin enough to easily work with a jigsaw, hand file, and cordless drill, and small enough to ship and store easily. A small cardboard template, a dime to shape the end curves, a file to round the edges and deburr, a drill and countersink for the screw holes, and a couple of brass screws with brass nuts, and the bath caddy is done.I love that this brass is cleanly dimensioned with square edges. It is free of burrs and free of dents and scratches on the surfaces. I could have just as simply used this for a decorative faceplate as for small part stock.
