The pitchfork itself is a bit shorter than the photo suggests—it’s not the full 6 feet, more like 4.5 feet. It works well for my intended use, but I think it could be improved with a sturdier wood handle. The metal is on the thinner side and painted, so I’m concerned it may rust over time. That said, it does the job for now. For the price, I think it’s a solid value if you're doing casual, small gardening. However, I wouldn't expect it to hold up to heavy-duty farm use.

The actual pitchfork is a bit shorter than the photo shows. This is NOT a full 6ft length pitchfork but closer to about 4.5ft. It works for the job intended and probably could be improved with a wood handle. The metal is on the thinner side and painted which leads me to believe it will eventually rust. However, it seems to do the job for now. For the cost I'd say it is a solid value if you just do casual small gardening, This likely wouldn't hold up to real farm use.

PitchforkThis pitchfork for gardening needs to be assembled. Assembly is just screwing the poles together. The pitchfork measures 4 claws that are about 11-12 inches in length. The 4 claws measure about 4” in width. The handle can be extended to the max of 45 inches long. This is great for the oak leaves that we have raining down on us in the fall. Great for shoveling and sifting. I highly recommend this pitchfork for being lightweight and easy to handle and manage.

This is an awful pitchfork. It's too "modern" looking (plastic handle and fake finished metal) to be considered a decorative piece, and it is just terrible as a functional pitchfork. The entire unit screws together which means that the handle and the head are always wanting to unscrew while you use it. The bent tines are cheap and not close enough together to really use for work but are too far apart to make for good coverage. Avoid this junk and get something nicer.

This is comfortable to use with a well designed handle. The whole shovel is pretty strong and functional. Lightweight. Perfect size for both gardening and working in the chicken coop.

We got this for working in our garden at the ranch. We needed something more than a small hand tool but less than a roto-tiller as we are working to be no-till/low-till with our growing. Purchasing a "real" broad fork is very expensive and so I had not done it. When I saw this, I knew it was likely a good compromise. It arrived in a smaller than expected box. But opening it showed seveal pieces, which went together very easily. The hand attaches with a pair of screws and bolt. They tighteen down with a allen key, which is included. Once screwed together the tool is very sturdy. I wouldn't be surprised if the pieces came a bit loose with heavy use, but its definitely more secure than similar tools I have purchased that went together like this. The forks seem strong but are not as robust as they might look in the pictures. They look like large, round tines, but there is no "back" to them, meaning that they are probably more "medium duty". Of course at the price point this should not be surprising. For our use case it should work well. If nothing else, it will help us validate the need for heavy use of broad forks and thus a higher end model.

This is a strong and well made product. I have never had to assemble a pitch fork before so I really wasn't sure what to expect but I can say I don't see any real concerns and I think it will hold up to a lot of garden work.

I use pitchforks for my compost, and althought this works, it's not very heavy duty, which makes me wonder if it will come apart with more use. It seems to be rustproof, which is good.
