My tap water is useless for drinking or making ice. Being that I have a filter container for water, I figured I could use it for a portable ice maker. I wasn't expecting much from this little thing, but since I have very little counter space & could put it anywhere else when not using, I decided to buy it. Oh my word, this thing is GREAT! I only wanted about 6 lbs to store in a freezer bag at a time, & it took very little time to make. Because when it's first made, it appears a bit "watery" as Ii put them in the bag, I worried they would clump up together. To my surprise, the ice didn't. It's a sleek design, I got the black one, the ice tastes great, & b/c it's small I had the perfect spot for it when not in use. This thing works as described & I highly recommend this product!

It works pretty well. It does make the ice pretty quickly. Makes some noise, but not really loud. The things that I don't like is that it will only fill up so far before you have to empty out the basket. The picture you see of the ice at the top of the lid is not realistic. Also, the ice cubes come out wet. I usually put the basket in the freezer, then have to use an ice pick to separate the cubes once they are fully frozen. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and value for my money.

Product worked ok for the first 4 days. When the "clean" light lit, I followed the instructions but once the clean cycle finished, it went into standby mode, (on light flashing), but pressing the on button does nothing. Machine will not function. I have tried unplugging the unit then plugging it back in without success. Since I stupidly threw the box away, I am not able to return it. (Lesson learned!)

I absolutely love this ice maker. Very easy to set up & use. 10/10 highly recommended! Makes ice fairly quickly AND you can watch the ice being made, not to mention the 2 options for ice Small or Large.

Wish it had more cold effect while holding ready ice. Cubes are a little 'watery' putting them into a cube bucket in the real freezer. Not made to be a stand alone, independent maker. EX., If you purchase thinking no more ice trays,...correct. If you think you'll always have ice ready outside of the freezer and you just freed up more room in the freezer, wont work for you. I wanted to leave the ice machine basically running full time as a lot of ice is used, however once the ice tray of the maker is full and sits for a while, the ice will begin to slowly melt. Once the machine senses inactivity (not sure of the duration), the machine will auto shut down, go to standby and melt the current ready ice. Whoops. But makes for good if you can live with an ice bucket in the freezer to dump the machine ice into every full cycle.
