The design inspiration is extracted from natural plant elements – the spoon resembles the shape of a sprout and the tip of the spoon resembles the shape of a leaf. The leafy shape of the tip combined with the flexibility of the silicone material allows the spoon to flex. Babies can perform various motions such as scooping, cutting and slicing with ease. The stem of the silicone spoons are decorated with protruding lines to resemble natural shape of vegetation stems to provide a better grip.

The spoon handle is short and fat so the baby can easily control the spoon and get food in their mouth during first use. The silicone is soft and gentle on baby’s gums and the colors make mealtime fun. These spoons promote baby’s confidence in self-feeding and are well worth the price.

These spoons were easy for our 6 month old to grab. She loves chewing them which made it even easier to feed her in the long run. They also mildly suction on the bottom so if you have to set them down, it doesn’t have to mess the surface you set them on. Very simple, way to use, flexible material, perfect size, great value, and the colors are nice without being loud.

We decided to pitch this spoon for our baby’s first feeding because of what we read and it delivered everything in the description. I’ll just add that my baby is 5 1/2 months old and he was able to use the spoon to feed himself (amazing) which is great for developing his hand eye coordination. The spoon is soft but sturdy and yet very bendable, the handle of the spoon has an interesting texture appeasing to baby’s grip and their gums for tethers. For the parents: it was very easy to get all the food up from small spaces/corners and when using a flat surface definitely worth the money! I will be buying more. I also like the fact that the spoons came with two shades of green, and that it is not too big or too small. It’s like the perfect size for both baby and an adult

OMG - Finally!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. I never understood how to spoon-feed a baby. All my babies want to do is chew and mouth the spoon! So, they ended up gaging themselves, and I would have to wrestle the spoon away from them to get more... which they didn't really eat anyway. Insanely frustrating for both of us! I bought this for my 7mo son. Ahhhhh. I just put some cereal or other mashed food on the spoon and he grabs the spoon and into his mouth it goes! He chews the spoon and works the mashed food in his mouth. And I'm no longer frustrated trying to feed him! He's no longer frustrated with my trying to put food in his mouth or take the spoon away from him. I only wish I had this when my 2yo daughter was his age. Also - insanely easy to clean, great for just something to chew on sans food. Stands up on its own, so you can put a couple spoons out on a tray for baby to grab. Easy for baby to hold. I seriously can't say enough good things about this product.

These spoons are advertised to be good for baby led weaning, so I bought them to train my son to feed himself using these spoons as either a transition into BLW or to encourage self feeding. In one respect the spoon has been useful for this purpose because my son instantly grew a liking to the shape of the spoon and enjoyed holding it, placing it in his mouth, and chewing on it. It also is helping him understand and work with his gag reflex. Another unexpected benefit of this spoon is that my teething son loves to gnaw on it to help relieve his pain; however, keep in mind that he will stick anything in his mouth and chew it for relief! With that said, I have a couple of small complaints. First, the spoon holds purées well if an adult is handling and feeding horizontally, but as soon as the spoon moves past the 45 degree angle toward the vertical position food will slip right off. This is obviously normal for a spoon, but I had hoped this particular spoon would hold purées in the vertical position because it is a BLW spoon. It pretty much is impossible to get any good into my son’s mouth when he holds the spoon on his own, as the food with slip right off. The other complaint is that sometimes food gets stuck in the grooves in the spoon handle and you don’t notice until it is dried. This usually only happens with thicker foods like peanut butter or oatmeal, so it is not a consistent problem. But something about the color of the spoons makes it hard to notice that there is food stuck in the crevices of the handle until it is fully dried and crusty. It is not problematic, simply annoying to have to rewash a spoon that’s already “clean”.
