This is a great eyepiece for short to normal relief.When you get to a 3" relief the part that captures the eyepiece is not long enough to open the petals.Otherwise, strange however, excellent product. If you wear glasses you get a slight advantage in distance to open the petals. This product works very well for large oculars.

I recently purchased the ohhunt Rubber Eyepiece Extender for Night Vision Recoil Eye Protectors, to see if it could enhance my experience with the SightMark Wraith night scope. To my delight, the extender not only fits, but it feels like it was tailor-made for it.The extender snugly attaches to the eyepiece of the SightMark Wraith, providing a comfortable and secure cushioning that is especially appreciated during extended observation periods. The rubber material is durable and offers an improved seal against ambient light, enhancing the night vision capabilities of the scope.One might be skeptical about cross-brand compatibility, but this product dispels all doubts. Recently purchased an Armsight Apollo Pro Clip-On thermal scope that was a "demo" so got a great price. The problem was that it was missing the light shield that was supposed to come with it for use on your day scope when the day scope is mounted behind the thermal scope. Since any accessories are non-existent for Armasight products since they were bought out by Flir, I had to search for somewhere that had an equivalent. That's when I stumbled on this product. For using around the house I have an Eotech 3x magnifier mounted behind the thermal and needed the light shield as the reflection without it is horrendous. I measured the Eotech eyepiece and ordered this product for it. Not only is it a perfect fit, it is soft and way more comfortable than some of the other reviews led me to believe. And, since the price was right, I ordered two. Attached a couple photos of what is looks like installed on the Eotech 3x magnifier so others can see. Glad I found this eye cup!!!
