Scale endlessly counts backwards down to zero once you place an item on it. Cannot get a weight measurement of anything

Scales work well for their target weight. The stacking feature is very nice. Appear to be accurate. Appear to keep their calibrations. Easy to use, easy to calibrate if you follow the directions.

Purchased this balance for my kitchen because we also use Ohaus products in our larger laboratory. It is definitely accurate. I'm not sure I necessarily needed a balance of this quality in the kitchen, as there are cheap units that will do the same kitchen jobs. However, it not only does the job but looks great, too.

Make sure you buy a calibration weight set to check your balance! My measurements were completely inaccurate and didn't match known weights. Repeated measurements of the same weights gave completely different values each time, so it's not like the balance is precise but incorrectly calibrated with poor accuracy. OHAUS is usually a quality vendor but this product is completely unusable so I returned it immediately.

This brand of scale is absolutely amazing, this is my second one, first one lasted 13 years, with everyday use, including Winter.
