Overall, the seat is comfortable and sturdy. The piston does drop quite a bit when you sit on it. My only complaint is the foot rest is not adjustable and only my toes reach it when it’s at a height for my standing desk.

I am using this chair in my workshop and find it comfortable and very steady. I have a bad back and needed something with good support and this one feels good. I like that it is tall so I can sit at my workbench. I did remove the casters and replace with feet to keep it from moving when I get in it. For the price, it is a great value.

In no way is this designed or intended for taller people. The seat is too shallow, and the back sits too far forward, further taking away comfortable seating space. The arm rests sat a good inch below my elbow, rendering them virtually useless. The foot rest not only has a small diameter, it's not adjustable at all. It's placed so low that at max height it might as well not be there. Within two minutes I was taking it apart and putting it back in the box. That being said, assembly was straightforward and simple; as was disassembly. Wil definently be returning this unfortunate excuse for a chair. 1 star.

One of the more affordable chairs out there - if you are looking for a chair that will elevate to a standing desk/counter height type desk. Didn't take long to put together and it works! Fairly simple assembly and use. No frills, just what you need. I want to stand at a desk and occasionally sit or lean on the chair in a partial sit while standing and working and this works great for any of that and sitting and lowering it to a more normal level...

Search no more... your chair awaits you =) If like me you are looking for a chair that is both comfortable and sits high if desired (for a standing desk) then you got it made with this unit. Not only does the chair offer fine qualities the vendor Offices- Warehouse truly strives to offer excellent customer service every step of the way. As a business man I expect reliability, speed, and quality from a vendor and this vendor hit every mark. My questions and delivery time was answered with lightening speed and care.Pros:- Chair can extend higher than most chairs (can reach about 35 inches for chair seat height)- Back of chair is mesh so your back won't sweat- Arm supports sit higher than average so they are useful and do the job- Chair cushion is robust making the chair comfortable and won't get hot like some other chairs- Wheels are of decent quality so they won't scratch wood floors- Back support actually has a tilt function so you can increase or decrease the back support tension (basically you can lean back)- Because the chair seat is larger than most, you don't feel like the chair is going to dump you out of itWhat could be improved:- Every high sitting chair that I have come across sinks a little bit when you have it extended all the way and go to sit in it. This chair does allow a higher extension than most but sinks a little when fully extended. To get around this issue I recommend buying a piece of 3/4 inch foam split pipe insulator (about 3 inches in length), putting the chair to desired height, place the insulator around the pipe where it starts to enter into the other pipe, and then put 2 metal hose clamps right on top of each other tightly around the pipe insulator. And voila you lock the chair height in place and can still rotate as desired.

I can't speak to the chair's durability, since I haven't had it long enough, but I've had several drafting chairs over the 25+ years I've worked at a tall desk, and this chair's parts seem to be made to industry standard quality. But as we all know through bitter experience, one size doesn't fit all. Here are a few things you might want to consider before buying it.Although you can adjust the tension of the seat back tilt, the seat back can't be adjusted forward and backward or up and down. I'm 6'4'' and I find the height of the back fairly comfortable, but if you want the lumbar support in a different position, or if, like me, you'd like to sit farther forward or backward on the seat, you're out of luck. The seat tilt can't be adjusted either. It feels like it's inclined forward, and I'm slowly working my way off the chair. I was able to improve this by including several washers on the front seat attachment screws between the seat platform and the seat. The other missing adjustment is to the position of the foot rest. It sits on a raised portion of the piston, which would probably be fine for someone considerably shorter than I am, but it's very uncomfortable for me. I had to take the piston out, remove the foot rest, and put it below the support ridge, so that it sits on the base. In this position, it has nothing to seat against, so it wobbles. I'll shim it with something to fix the wobble, but it would be much better if I didn't have to.I don't dislike the chair enough to pay the return shipping, but if I had it to do over, I'd spend a bit more on the chair and get the adjustments that this chair is lacking.
