I bought this because I liked the fact that the seat can be tilted. It turns out the tilting was not that important after all because I seem to preferred the no tilt angle. Overall quality of the chair is decent but the reasons for only 3 stars were 1) the maximum height is actually only 22 inches, not 24 as stated in the description - I was expecting to go taller, 2) there is not enough padding on seat. The seat has less than 1 inch of cushion. My butt hurts after sitting on it for 20 minutes. I thought I will get used to it after a few weeks; not the case. Thus I returned it.

I bought this chair to use while sewing at a desk. It is easy to assemble, and so far I really like it. While sitting for a long time, it seems to be hard but then I think about how long I've been sitting, and my other chair did the same thing. I need to get up and move around more, and then it's fine. The only problem I have is that it rolls really easily on my chair mat, and I have to remember to hold onto it when I'm sitting down on it. But that has nothing to do with the chair -- just me! Would recommend to anyone.

Instructions were virtually nonexistent, chair slants and I can't figure out to fix it. And it's incredibly uncomfortable!

I have had multiple stools in the past and this one is by far the best. I used it in a dental office, it lasted around 12-15 years. The arch in the front is not to high and allows me to scoot close to the patient chair. Just as important the tilt adjustment is a must and on this stool allows for front tilt or back tilt which ever is best for your personal back alignment. (Other stool with tilt don’t seem to go back far enough which allows for your spine to be straight).

My partner is a professional glass blower and has had trouble finding a stool that works for him. He has back problems and his legs would fall asleep while he was working, but he's had zero complaints with this stool. He said he forgets it's there, which is the hallmark of a good stool. Adjustable height means he can prop against it while standing or sit on it and roll around from the kiln to the bench to the desk. It also keeps his posture in line, though it is possible to slouch at it if you're determined (or reallllly sick of sitting)

Purchased for my wife who is a quilter. Perfect for use with her long arm quilting machine. She required a stable seat that was higher them most.

I mobility issues that make standing difficult. I use this chair in the kitchen so that I can I can sit doing most tasks. It's wonderful: adjusts easily to perfect height for kitchen tasks, rolls around effortlessly, and is comfortable. It's even fun to scoot around ... wheeee! I think the price is very reasonable for quality, and it makes an enormous difference to my quality of life. Well worth it.

I bought this chair in anticipation of hip replacement surgery.........already knowing that I was super-uncomfortable in chairs that were too low. Did a lot of research on different chair configurations and bought this one specifically because of adjustable foot bar, the height range, the shape and adjustability of the seat, and that it's backless. It fits perfectly into the small space at my computer desk, and although I can't fit my legs under the desktop I made this decision with foreknowledge. Not sure how comfortable the seat would be if sitting for hours at a time, but it suits my needs fine.Chair seems to be well-made, and seems more than fairly priced, considering some of very pricey stuff I came across on-lineI am post-op now and sitting on the chair .........am very happy with this purchase!

I shopped for this chair with the height requirement that matched one of my desks, recognizing that I would need to be more mobile at this desk than at other desks that I have. This chair was super simple and quick to assemble, and is absolutely perfect for my needs. It is comfortable to sit on to attend to any task, and provides the ease I require to navigate my work area at this desk. I am seriously considering purchasing a second of these chairs for another desk location in my offices, depending on the height requirements of that desk. Once I have measured the desk and seating height, I will be thinking about buying another of these seats.

Well, I'm trying to find a chair to break up standing and sitting at my standing height desk and it's turning into quite a challenge to find one that doesn't use TDCPP and TCEP in the upholstery. The last chair I ordered arrived with a Prop 65 warning label on the box (This chair came had the same warning and turned out to be from the same manufacturer...) Huh..? So I emailed with the company and asked what might be in the chair that would constitute the warning (Prop 65 HAS gotten a little cumbersome and may need to be revised, but it's still a good heads up to look more closely) and if a consumer would have contact with the problematic chemicals. Unfortunately the particular chemicals in the flame retardant foam (TDCPP or TCEP) are indeed carcinogenic AND they release from the foam and attach to dust particles. They absorb through the skin and have been found in house dust, indoor air and breast milk. NO THANK YOU! As a cancer survivor I'm doing everything I can to minimize my risk now and this chair does NOT meet that standard. The email they sent me when I asked for information is below and to be fair to them, California used to require that the seats be flame retardant. CA has amended this requirement and we should be seeing more consumer safe products soon, in the meantime I'm finding a chair without toxic padding. I'm not overly clear about the CA requirements so please excuse me if I mis stated. All I know is I don't want this chair. Returning unopened.TDCPP and TCEP info sheet with research references cited: [...] (Amazon redacted, can be found with a little digging on google)Company email:"Please see below. The list of chemicals and all other information pertaining to prop 65 are detailed at:[...] (Amazon redacted, easy to find with google)This is the MFG email regarding the warning:"Each of our manufacturers out-source most components of the product they supply. Because of the complexity of the law none of them can clearly define whether or not any of these chemicals even exist in their product with the exception of TDCPP or TCEP and have opted to comply with the regulation by adding the warning label. The only substances that we are aware of are those that were actually mandated by the State of California to comply with CA117 fire retardant foam used to pad seating, sofas, etc. Those chemicals are the ones that were tested on laboratory mice and produced the results to create the prop65 label. It was determined through those tests that a human could be affected in the method aforesaid and mentioned. The chemicals for fire retardants are: TDCPP or TCEP.That being said, due to numerous arguments with the State of California with regards to requiring chemicals to be added for one purpose but outlawed by another, PROP 117 has been changed and the amended notice TB117-2013 bulletin has been issued rescinding the need to use these chemicals and have given manufacturers to July 1, 2014 to meet the new standards.
