We bought this to replace a 10 in solar tube lens in master bath. It had been there for years and was badly cracked. That company is no longer in business, so started shopping. This lens seemed it was very close to being like the original. My husband replaced the broken one. It only took a few minutes. He took out screws,removed aluminum band, replaced lens with new one. It fits on there perfectly...no need to use the band. Use original screws, do not screw down too tight against the lens plastic. A couple days later he went up and checked the screws...not too tight, not too loose. Voila! Sunlight in the bathroom again.

Worked perfectly to replace old dome destroyed by Hurricane Ian. Only ordered one to make sure it would fit because the price has nearly doubled in the last 6 months. Once I determined it was a perfect fit, I ordered another but it looks like it may be out of stock, I am in limbo on it.

Disappointed in this as it was a reorder. The first 2 I ordered had the cuff to attach the dome to the roof. This was only the dome. Had to order the whole thing from Velux. Keeping the extra dome in case we Crack one.

replacement dome fit well and was easy to install. much brighter light in hallway now that 20 year old, faded dome is gone. big diffewrence.

After only a few weeks it seems to work fine.BACKSTORY: Our original skytube dome had not been installed properly and blew off in severly heavy winds. This replacement dome was easy to set onto the original tubing and screw in (the part the roofers neglected!). It's only been a few weeks, hence the 4-star rating. I don't give up 5-stars easily...

We love these skylights and have installed them in two houses now. They let in a lot of light, are unobtrusive on the roof, and have never had a leak. We highly recommend them over "conventional" skylights and think they are worth every penny.

My flashings did not fit these domes exactly but did fit well enough. This Summer I am reroofing my house and will be using thecorrect flashings for a better fit. So far there are no leaks and the light inside has improved greatly. All of the hardware was there and the instructions were easy. I am a do-it-yourselfer. I would buy these again and recommend them to others.

It's only an acrylic dome so these isn't much to say.It arrived before the estimated date and was in perfect condition. Well packaged.I bought it as a weather shield for an IP camera I bought from Amazonbut I didn't consider the reflection of the IR night vision LED's on the Foscam camera.When it's dark and I turn on the infrared LED's, they reflect off the inside of the dome and night vision is useless.This is my screw up, not the dome's.I still use it, just not at night.
