These are AMAZING. They fit my expedition max perfectly and I saved hundreds by avoiding going through the dealership to order. I’ve recommend this product to many friends since! It was very easy to install. I installed by myself in just about 15 min.

These are designed for the rear two install points on navigator/expedition but I made them work for the front two install points. They are about 1/2 inch short if using the rear bar in the middle install point but by slowly tightening the bolts I got them secured fully without washers. Am slightly nervous about the added axial tension that the install across the front two points has created but time will tell. Those that say they don't work across the front and middle I stall points didn't tighten their bolts slowly enough to get them to work.Lack of this clear instruction and overall lack of proper fitment for the front two install points makes this yet another Chinese product with lacking description and truthfully there should be two options of length. One set for middle/rear install point which these are and another set for front middle install point which would need to be longer. Or just design a set that has added adjustability

Installed on a 2018 Expedition. Installation process took about 20 minutes. Did it by myself without help. The design of the rails looks stock. The mounting brackets are a high-quality composite. The rails themselves are lightweight aluminum. I recommend using a blanket to protect the paint during install. The instructions aren’t too detailed but it’s fairly straightforward. One thing I recommend doing is assembling the side brackets to the rails on a table before taking them to the top of the car. There are two screws on the bottom of each rail that go into the side brackets. On one side of each rail, the screws are in a fixed position and on the opposite side the screws allow for lateral movement of the rail to get it in the proper place. I would tighten the screws on the fixed side completely and start the screws on the adjustable side just enough to allow the rail to move for final positioning on the roof. Each rail has a sticker to show the forward direction and there’s an indication of which rail is the front row and which rail is the back.Excited how clean they look and these were at least 50% less than the dealer wanted. Product installed easily and worked as expected. They went on a 2018 Expedition. Didn’t have to make an modifications. Put the cargo carrier up and was able to get everything we needed for camping.

These crossbars are okay, but they are not that robust. I definitely pushed them to their max wit a roof rack and roof bag with about 150 pounds worth of luggage in them. I would have probably spent the extra money and gotten a higher quality crossbar if I had it to do over again. Seems like the ones that also go over the factory roof rails would be a little better, but they are also twice the price. I would say these are adequate for the weekend warrior, but if you are going to be using it more intensely I would step up a grade.

I purchased these for my Expedition thinking I would install these cross bars in the front and middle position on the roof. There are 3 possible positions to install these on the expedition: front, middle, and back. To install a crossbar in the front position requires a cross bar about 49" end to end. The middle position requires a crossbar about 48.5" and the rear position is about 47.5" across. These bars are about 48.5" and 47.5" in length when maximally extended (there is a small adjustment) so they will only fit the rear most positions on the roof. These rear positions are far more toward the rear of the expedition and unfortunately this really limits their usefulness. I'm using these to install a Thule Snowpack Extender ski rack. Since these crossbars only fit at the rear of the expedition, I can't open the rear liftgate when our skis are on the roof. I'm debating about sending these back because I'd like to use the front crossbar position. I wish this manufacturer was clear and stated these would only fit the two rear cross bar positions.
