Material is good quality - soft and not too thin. I am 5'2" 195 pds and I bought a 16 and 18 for a looser fit. Both fit great. These are exactly what I was looking for. I LOVE the length because they are below the knee. I'm not certain these were really truly made for women because the side pockets are deep, and the waste fits low, but I like wearing them this way anyway. If you prefer your shorts to fit higher on the waist, these may not be right for you. All the pockets are real pockets and have good snaps on them. I bought these for a trip so that I could carry my phone and cash without a purse. They were perfect. The picture is size 16 in dark grey.

I love these shorts but very disappointed that the correct color ordered, which was dark grey, was not sent. Instead, I got a dark brown color which I like but did not order. Other than that, I really do love these shorts. The fabric is a very thick and soft cotton. Had to order one size larger than my usual size as suggested on amazon, which fit fairly well. If I ordered my usual size, I'm sure they would have been too small.

I love these shorts so much that I've now purchased three pairs in different colors. The fabric is soft and sturdy with a bit of stretch, and they seem to be well-constructed. I did go up one size from my usual size because I wanted a slightly baggier fit that sits on more on my hips rather than my waist. I am 5'9" and sizing up makes them hit right at my knee, which is the length I prefer.I've been washing them on warm and then immediately hanging them to dry. So far there has been no shrinkage or fading using this strategy, and so long as I take the time to smooth out the fabric and adjust the pocket flaps while they're still damp, the amount of wrinkling is minimal.My favorite thing about these shorts is the pockets! In addition to the large mid-thigh side pockets, the regular hip pockets are also fairly deep. This means I can easily carry my phone, keys, a small wallet, a tube of lip balm, and even dog treats, making these ideal for hiking, dog walking, or any other situation in which carrying a purse/bag is undesirable.

These are cute shorts. They are practical as well! However, I decided to return the brown coffee colored ones and ordered the dark gray to replace them. The brown shorts were much too orange/rust for my liking. But, if that's the color you're going for, you'll love that color. Overall, great shorts though! Fit as expected as well.

Thought I would try a pair of cargo shorts since I see a lot of women wearing them - maybe it was just these - but OMG these are awful - not flattering at all. My husband saw them and said wth are you wearing? I said I was trying cargos and he just laughed and laughed and so did I and promptly returned them.

Fit’s well. I just find it attracts every fur ball and lint. The black seems to be a little faded but works for what I needed.
