Returned this, as the refill did not fit my existing O-Cedar mop, which I'd had for many years. Apparently, they don't make the correct refill anymore. Major disappointment! So, I had to throw out my mop, which I liked, and buy a whole new one. I found it at Target for about the same price as this refill.

The two connecting pegs don't fit older models that use the slide on latches. They should specify that in their description.

This refill fit my 20 year old sponge mop. The nylon posts that attach to the metal frame are 6.5 inches apart center-to-center. It is the same shape and size as the original. Perfect!

I have the older style handle, and was hesitant to buy this due to the reviews.One fellow was handy and used a cotter pin or something to that effect.You can read the review above.It made me wonder...why the metal keeper?Are we making life too complicated?If you use the correct diameter drill bit, and space the holes properly, these refills fit perfectly and require no additional pins or needles.Now, I have a mop which should last as long as the refills continue to be sold.Yes, it took me a few minutes to drill smaller holes and gradually get the size needed, but hey...it was that or watch the boob tube.One other thing: someone complained that this was simply a sponge, etc. etc. etc.If you want an industrial mop to clean an area like a restaurant bathroom - this isn't it.It is designed for basic household kitchen cleaning, and does the job nicely, thank you.People who own these probably don't have sticky floors because it takes only a few seconds to clean up any small spills.Relying on a monster mop is a formula for disaster: takes up a lot of space, bucket full of nasty water, etc. etc.

Sponge separates from backing. Does not stay in metal holder. I conclude it is poorly made and has no quality control process. THIS IS SAD because there is no alternative at Big A and nothing is better than cellulose for water spills.

The sponge works fine and is what I expected but the attachment prongs were too small for the old mop. I had to insert small nails to firmly affix the mop to the handle.

Really works good so far, have had problems with refills falling apart, so far doing fine thanks
