Product Description

Oatey? Master Flash? Roof Flashings are designed for use with profiled roofing materials and can be installed on every type of roofing surface. The base is designed to form a seal on any panel configuration and roof pitch, regardless of pipe location. Master Flash is pliable so it won't crack or break. It accommodates vibration, pipe movement caused by expansion and contraction, and snow-load movemnet. Master flash is made of EPDM and compounded specifically for maximum resistance to weathering due to ozone and ultraviolet light.

Got this for my radiant heater which vents horizontal. This sealed the gap around the thimble on the out side of the building. Great quality.

I say a video of a professional showing how to install this roof pipe boot.Based on his recommendation, I bought this.It was such an easy install.I also used Butyl Seal Tape instead of silicone for a life-long seal on the base. Used silicone on top part that pipe comes through.Installed in 10 minutes.

I used this on a flat roof as a flange for a newly installed vent pipe. I installed it using a bed for Henry's Ultimate sealant and used more of that same sealant over the mounting screws. I used GRK screws to fix this to the roof. The very next day we had a large rain storm. Not a single drop came through. Terrific product!

I bought two of these to seal my bathroom vent and my electrical standpipe on the new metal roof. Perfect size, and easy to cut to the right size for each pipe. The base forms easily over the ribs of the roof, and with a touch of caulk, a perect seal. No leaks, easy to install.

I actually have never needed to use one of these before. This seems to be well made. The rubber boot was labeled with various sizes in metric and standard sizes from top of the boot to where the rubber meets it's base. The location of my vent happened to be in a bad spot. The rib on the metal roof happened to be where I would have to place the base of the boot over the rib and barely onto the flat of the roof. The underside of the boot base appeared to be marked every inch or so for screws. I didn't drill them out because of where the rib was. The fit was perfect and all the materials were pliable enough to easily work with. I'd buy another one if I need another one.

Bought & installed 2 of these. It was my first time & I found it easy.Watched some how to videos beforehand & it’s straight forward. They conform to any size required since the base is a thin aluminum.I read on here in another review that it would have been nice if there were pre drill marks in the base.If you flip it over there are pre drill hole marks if you do choose to use them.Just flip it over & run a drill through them.Made the install that much easier.Found the hole sizing that is on the top easy to use.Just cut the rubber to the size of the pipe.To ensure a snug fit just cut a little smaller. Also use some silicone under it while sliding the unit over your pipe then again around the outside of the pipe.As long as use use silicone on the bottom of the base then around the base & use some more over your screws.Pretty straight forward you won’t have any issues.

I got this to use for a TV antenna mount on the roof of my house. The entire installation took about 10 minutes and it is watertight. When it arrived, the metal rim was bent and I freaked out but then took a moment to read the actual instructions and realized it was designed to mold to the roof and well, duh.So it's easy to cut and it absolutely seals against my antenna pole. Installation is pretty simple. Cut the opening you need (on the small side), run it over the pole or vent pipe or whatever the roof protrusion is, and then seal the base with a non-petroleum based product and screw in. The directions say to use self-tapping screws. I wanted to use wood screws because of the roof construction so I pre-punched the screw locations with a center punch, then mounted and screwed in place with stainless steel screws with grommets. They'll outlast the roof. This costs about 4 times what a cheap plastic self-flash boot costs at a big box store, and it's infinitely better. It's a pliable and flexible rubber that won't go brittle over the years and have to be replaced in short order.

These are the best. When it is raining and you need to seal up a flashing on a roof, this is the trick. Use one of these flashings. Use Dap 18816 poly sealant. And use rubber gasketed roofing screws to screw down all around the perimeter every 3 inches or so. The underside has fine rubber ridges and the metal is soft, so the whole thing seals very well even on rough surfaces. The sealant cures when wet and does a great job. Do this and you will never have a problem sealing roof penetrations even in the pouring rain.
