I tried my hand at plumbing about 6 weeks ago & it did not go so well. I hired a plumber the next day so that we'd have water in the house. I watched the plumber carefully and asked a lot of questions and he was willing to answer the questions. I also took note of the tools he used and made sure to buy either the same or similar tools.This solder was recommended and I am glad that I bought it. This time around I was using 1/2" copper pipe and bent the tip about 1/2" and it flowed really nicely onto the copper pipe. I wiped the solder as soon as it melted with a nice Terry Cloth Towel and later tested the connection and no leaks. This beats the cheap stuff in the all-in-one kit at the local ACE hardware.
