Well supposedly holds 500 lbs. but will also only fit a toddler or child. I can barely fit on the seat it is so short width-wise. There is nothing underneath your legs to sit on and make you feel secure sitting on it. The backrest is so small it pocks into your back because you have to TRY to sit back so far to feel secure on the seat. Just because the legs need to be narrow to fit a narrow tub does not mean the seat should be so narrow and tiny. I have no choice to keep it as I NEED something in the shower NOW and can not wait for something else. Please beware this IS NOT a chair for seniors or even adults it truly is a child-sized seat. I am thinking that the people with good reviews on here must have gotten a totally different chair than I did because their reviews make no sense to me. Safety should be number one and this is not a safe chair for an adult.

This chair is NOT for adults, it is for children!!! Way too small and at it's maximum height, it's too short!!! My cat now uses it as a step stool to reach a table that is 25 inches in height!!! What a joke this baby chair is - don't waste your money!!!

I started having issues with my knees where I feel especially unstable and weakness in my knees following a months long COVID infection last year. I was terrified that if I ever DID fall, it would likely be my horrible luck it would happen while showering, so I did a ton of comparison shopping on Amazon and decided upon this chair. It was only a teensy bit confusing to build when it came to the cross bars (there's an extremely helpful comment with instructions posted somewhere here lol) but was all together super simple to build. I am a bit on the heavier side (over 250 fo sho) and it is extremely stable when sitting. The seat pad ripped before using it, but I honestly prefer using it without it anyways bc it's easier to dimply rinse off soap etc after using it. The feet have nonslip covers with holes which drain- I have yet to notice any rusting and have been using it for several months now with no issues. Highly recommend this chair at this price! The seat is a bit wider than others within the price point, and I like the shape of the seat as well.

I needed a smaller shower chair. This one fits the bill. its very compact. it pretty sturdy but I don't know if it would hold someone five hundred pounds. I am 300 and it felt a little shaky. I had knee replacement and standing and bending over is hard so I purchased this. perhaps I need to tighten the thumb screws tighter. my sister put it together for me because I am recuperating. The one thing I was a little disappointed in is the height adjustment. it can be adjusted by several segments. mine is at the highest setting and still is a tad short for someone who over 6'2" the added grab bar which I doubted I would use is nice than expected and I used it since the shower chair doesn't go as high as I would like. I don't know who would use the other settings. only a very short person would want to go that low. elderly people or people with knee problems would not. I asked my grandson to make it higher for me and he told me it couldn't be set higher. he even said im not sure you can even lower it to all the setting holes as the cross bars seem to be in the way. As I didn't put it together myself I really don't want to say its a flawed design until I can look and make sure its assembled correctly. but as far as looks. price, size for smaller showers. its perfect. its not near as stable as the one I had that is too big for this shower but since it is smaller and narrower, it changes the center of gravity. wider is always going to be more stable. The man that designed my house thought really tiny showers were the way to go. I hope this answers any questions you may have had. its still feel its worth the money.
