These are the best sharps containers we have found. They snap together easily and have a nice lid that makes it easy to deposit sharps and slide the cover closed. And size holds quite a bit before having to dispose of.

These sharps containers are perfect for using at home to safely dispose of the needles used for medical injections. They take awhile to fill up, and I can easily turn these in at my local dump without being charged. The shell is very thick and the safety cover fits tightly. I love these containers and will continue to use them in the future.

The state I live in has rules for handling "sharps" that require using "official" sharps containers and handling them separately with other trash (e.g. a trip to a dump/transfer center that also handles "hazardous" materials. Since this is a time consuming process, I prefer to fill multiple containers then, when they become annoying to store, take them to the dump for disposal. I used to buy these locally, but since COVID my local stores seem to have quit carrying sharps disposal containers. (My previous state allowed use of 2 liter soda bottles, disposed of in the regular trash.)
