This product is awesome had some protection and warmth, but it keeps my head away from the hot sun and nice to have that little visor. Only drawback is trying to stuff my big head in at the beginning and getting it off at the end.

I live in Colorado, and surf a few times a year in California and Mexico, so I own a 3/2. I'm not going to own a second wetsuit living in a landlocked state, but I needed something for a trip to Santa Cruz (August, 55-60 degree water).Buying this to wear under my wetsuit seemed to be the solution, and it worked out perfectly. totally comfortable under a wetsuit, no noticeable arm restriction, and I didn't even need to wear the hood with how much warmer it kept my core. That said, I did wear the hood for a couple sessions and the adjustable pull-cord let me make it super comfy.The hood is neoprene, and is attached to the rest of the body in a way that it sort of drapes down over your collarbone. Pulling a chest-zip wetsuit over it interfaced perfectly with no matched-up seams. The body is a fleece material, the outside feels like a rashguard and the inside feels like a thin version of something you'd wear on land in the fall.

I live in the PNW so we dont have the warmest waters. My 4/3 suit does fine from May to September. I want to get another day in October and maybe November so I picked this up. I wear a size large wetsuit and bought this in size large. Immediately tried it on with my wetsuit once I received it. It fit well under my wetsuit. It went on surprisingly easy with my chest zip.Hopefully I can get a good day in over the next month and provide an update on how warm it is.Update: Went for a surf in October and November. Water was reported as 51* in November. I combined this with my 4/3 and had no problems. It was very nice to have the hood. I pulled it down while waiting for the next set and promptly pulled it back up. Even gave my gloves to my friend that was in a 5/4 and I was still good to go. I think the warm core helped with the hands.

This vest is super comfortable, quick drying and warm. It makes for a great base layer under your suit. The hood is also very comfortable with a decent neck setup to prevent too much water from flushing into your suit. Helps to extend the conditions you can use your 3/2 or 4/3 wetsuit.

First. This is well made and fits as expected. I expect this for the price and from this company.I wear it under a 4/3 on colder days in Delaware. With water temps in the low 40s I really need a thicker suit, but for the 2-3 per month in Jan - March, this under layer keeps me a little warmer and in the water a little longer

So I got this as a gift the fit was great. The material is soft warm and elastic. My partner was super happy with it and can be used on its own in summer or beneath a winter wetsuit in winter. He was super impressed by the hood since it’s had a lovely fit and didn’t bother him at all. Would recommend.
