I'm really into multi-function, small countertop ovens. I've tried numerous models, and I was very interested in seeing how this one from Nuwave works. I've been using it extensively over the past few weeks, and I like it even more with each function I try.BUILD QUALITYI've tried lots of these ovens. Often, they look good, but after some use they turn out to not be made very well. This one looks good, and it is also proving to be well-made. The door, dial, fan, and various settings are all very good construction and, for me, have held up to fairly heavy constant use.EASE OF USEWith all multi-function countertop ovens, it takes some time to get accustomed to the particular "user interface" decisions the manufacturer made. I judge them based on how logical they are, and how long I go without looking at the manual! This oven has a slight learning curve, and I do have to check the manual here and there to make sure I know the right way to do things. I've tested a couple of multi-function ovens that are simpler to use, but this one is pretty good. The included manual is decent, but could use some additional detail. Within a few days, I was comfortable using the functions I need.Along with easy controls, the display does a great job of clearly showing which cooking mode, temperature, and time you chose.I like the "analog" dial, which is the best option for ovens. A lot of models try to go full touch-screen, which may look nice but actually takes longer to set.The light illuminates the entire inside of the oven, which allows you to see how your project is doing.COOKING OPTIONSThis oven offers all the settings I need from quick reheating/toasting, to full cooking projects. With each function, I have found it works as needed. The temperature is accurate, and the results have been great.I have only used the steam cooker 2 times as a test. It was a new concept for me, and I was skeptical about how it would work. But I'm happy to say the results were good. The manufacturer says it has 120 presets. I have tried some of them, but I tend to not use presets, and prefer to just set the oven as needed for a recipe. But it's nice to know they are available.CLEANINGThis oven is simple to clean. Except for the single knob, all exterior surfaces are smooth and seamless, making it very easy to avoid gathering grime in crevices. The knob is fairly easy to clean, with smooth sides, but it takes a little more time to keep it looking good. Inside, the surfaces are mainly smooth and easy to clean. Although I've cooked several messy recipes in this oven, I am still able to keep it looking like new.CONCLUSIONI'm very happy with this countertop mini-oven. It has lots of good cooking features, it's intuitive to use, it's made well, and it's easy to maintain. I recommend it.

This is displacing my air fryer on my limited space counter, since it actually has air fryer functionality if not a large basket like the one that's found a new home on top of my fridge. In washing it out according to the instructions with a soapy sponge first and then a wet paper towel to remove the soap, I will say that I tore up the skin on my hands a bit reaching into the slot where the water tank slides. There are some sharp edges in there. In addition, there is a steam exhaust in the very back of the unit. My countertop sits beneath the cabinetry installed higher up on the wall. I've used toasters and air fryers by pulling them forward so that they're well away from the wall and partially away from the cabinets. Here, with an exhaust in the rear of the oven, you can never really use it on the counter because it'll be blowing super hot exhaust directly upwards onto the bottom of the cabinetry. So, I would say that's a little bit of a design/function problem if you have a normal home kitchen setup. I think I have to bring this over to my apartment's dining room and use it on the table rather than in the kitchen because of this issue. I've never cooked with a steam oven before, but the full color cookbook that came with this has some incredibly delicious looking recipes including a banana chocolate wonton that caught my 18 year old son's eye. I can't fully, fully review this immediately because it's going to take some time to examine and try all of the features but I wanted to pass along these observations to begin with. One last detail I'll mention is that, I've come to expect very poorly executed instructions and printed materials because so much of what's sold today is produced I imagine where English is not known. The instructions that came with this are very professionally produced in excellent English.I will say that I noticed the following. The rear vent only seems to blow out (upwards) when air frying. Steaming doesn't generate that. There is a separate steam blow hole on the top near the front, but in sous vide mode nothing perceptible came out of that hole either. And the sous vide mode was staggering in terms of how quickly it turned the interior of the oven into a steaming wet steam rain forest environment, almost immediately, and with the tiniest amount of water. You will be warned in the instructions to expect a funny smell the first couple of times you use it. I noticed it in air frying mode. Sous vide I guess because it's not as hot didn't produce a smell. This is an amazing little oven/big toaster. So happy I have this and can't wait to try a new vista of recipes I'd never have thought of before.
