The door seems to be a little more robust than cheaper brands I bought. Too bad I could not get it in beige.

One of the plastic hinges broke on a existing cover. We couldn't find just the cover so we had to buy this. Bit expensive but what else are you going to do?!

I replaced the front panel of a Hayden electrified inlet with the front panel from this Nutone inlet. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. When I plugged in the hose the motor in the carpet cleaner turned on along with the motor in the central vacuum.

They work but are a fairly brittle plastic and feel fairly cheap. We are unable to buy anything like these anywhere near where we live, so buying these on Amazon is our only choice. We have six in the house and maybe five have been replaced now over about 7 years.

We installed central vac when we built our house 30 years ago and 'supervalves' (supplying 110V power and suction to the same outlet) were a new thing. Now three decades later those old valves, having sucked up a lot of dirt and been slammed shut and twisted open a few too many times, are beginning to fail.Fortunately, these valves are a perfect and direct replacement. I didn't even have to switch out the box behind the wall--the faceplate which contains the switches and wiring points fits perfectly into the existing.Though these do not scream 'high quality, will last forever' they are the exact equivalent of the prior boxes and those lasted forever. SO I am hopeful.Replacing requires you to turn off the electricity, unscrew the current faceplate and remove two sets of wires. One set is to be wire nutted to the house current and is permanently affixed to the faceplate The other set of wires are low voltage and are simply shifted over to the new valve using brass screw terminals.Once the wires are on the new faceplate, you can re-attach it to the current (or new, if this is a new install) with two screws and ... voila. It's painless.

Great replacement for the central vac outlets where the door breaks because of the spring. Wife was told by everyone that these don’t exist. And they worked perfectly.Drag is you use one small part. But have to buy the whole thing. Wish they just sold the door. The rest is a waste.

We have a late 90s Beam Serenity and going off the pictures it looked like this would match up and it did. Had a hanging wall piece that fell off and broke the cover of the vacuum inlet below. Like others have found, you just can't buy the cover. Our unit needs power in the small plug as well as the low voltage on the hose - simple to wire up and works great!

Alas, our old one was 13 years old and finally broke, so searching out a replacement cover only, the rest of the product is fine, however you can't buy (at least from what I'm seeing), just a cover.So...I bought the whole kitten kaboodle for just that.The cover at least is super easy to install, took all of 5 minutes, quality is typical of plastic extrusion process and should last another 13 years...ish.

I have a Nutone Central Vac unit. Inlets on all three floors worked great, but the garage inlet was dead from the time I moved in. The fix was as simple as taking off the old inlet plate cover and putting the wires together for this new inlet plate cover, screwing it in, and it worked great. If I knew it would be this simple, I would have done this 10 years ago. Very happy with the product.
